About the role Hear from the Hiring Manager "We are looking for a Project Manager to lead execution of projects within the site's Asset Care team. As the site ages and continues to degrade, it is critical that we monitor this and adopt a proactive approach to maintaining the remaining assets to ensure continued safe operation. This role will be supporting the delivery of improvement projects, repairs, remediation and/or demolition identified as being required by the plant health review process. The individual must be highly motivated, delivery focussed, self-driven, good at problem solving and have good planning and communication skills. Key Deliverables As a Project Manager you will: Establish a vision and proactively manage the team to positively align the achievement of common project goals and overall organisational objectives. Have overall responsibility for ensuring the safe delivery of a project to time, cost and quality targets ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory process requirements with responsibility for leading the project to a successful conclusion. Ensure that projects and work packages meet the business commercial requirements Lead CDM activities for the project in accordance with the project Health, Safety and Environment Management process. Resource and manage a multi-disciplinary project team using with active interfaces to secure specialist resources (safety, environmental, design etc.) as required. Create, implement and maintain programme baselines and strategies for the project, taking into account analysis of dependencies and constraints, scope, risks and assumptions. Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to expedite safe project delivery. Monitor and report on internal and contractor performance against safety, costs, programme and quality, identify deviations and implement remedial actions as appropriate. Manage the production of project documentation including statement of requirements, safety documentation, works control documentation and project reports. Prepare project documentation and manage project interfaces according to company procedures. Qualifications & Experience Essential: - Educated to HND or equivalent NQF level 5 in a relevant discipline. APM Practitioner Qualification or equivalent and willingness to obtain within APM Practitioner within 1 year of appointment. Demonstrable experience in a highly regulated industry including; engineering, procurement, construction/construction management. Desirable: - CITB Construction Site Manager's Safety Certificate. NEC 3 contract training. Experience of working in complex organisations (Matrix Management). Flexible and adaptable approach, willing to take on new work challenges. Purpose of role: To carry out radiological protection related activities required for compliance with the Ionising Radiation regulations (IRR) and/or Environmental Authorisations (Scotland) Regulations (EASR) in support of Site and Project requirements. Key Duties/Responsibilities/Accountabilities Carry out radiological protection monitoring and related tasks within scope of their competence related to the Radiological Safety Rules, IRR, and/or the Environmental Authorisations (Scotland) Regulations. Carry out radiological compliance surveys to approved and established procedures, in support of Nuclear, Statutory and Environmental Maintenance Schedules Undertake radiological surveys in support of work being carried out under radiological control documents or designated work documents. Carry out radiological surveys and decontamination activities in support of controlled area re-classification or declassification. Establish radiological controlled areas including temporary areas prior to the commencement of work, including the setting up of radiological protection equipment. Carry out routine performance checks on radiological protection use instruments, following specified defect procedures if required. Carry out routine radioactive source presence checks, and source management tasks in accordance with specified site procedures and documentation. Assessment of samples using installed air sample counting equipment, liquid scintillation and gamma spectrometry instruments. Collect samples and carry out radiological surveys for the clearance of waste and material. Qualifications & Experience: Educated to SCQF Level 5/NQF level 2/NVQ Level 2, or equivalent standard or equivalent demonstrable experience in relevant aspect to the post. Facilitate reviews where necessary by chairing/coordinating Construction planning meetings. Analyse construction risks and impacts and make recommendations. About the role Production Technician (Operations) (BR107) Hear from the Hiring Manager: "Could it be time to start your career journey at Chapelcross? Chapelcross nuclear power station occupies a 92-hectare site on the location of a former World War II training airfield in Annan. As such, it is geographically one of the largest NRS sites with approximately 200 people working safely and efficiently on our decommissioning mission. The south area of the site consists of a modular administration building, four reactor buildings, turbine hall, maintenance workshops, stores, fuel element cooling pond building, tritium processing plant and new flask handling facility. The tritium processing plant at Chapelcross is the only plant of its kind across all the UK's former generating nuclear power stations. Key Duties/Responsibilities/Accountabilities: Carry out core maintenance and operational duties within his/her own level of demonstrated competence. Carry out tasks within scope and competence and to assist with fault investigations. Maintain accurate records of completed tasks in support of the site plant maintenance schedule. Become a Suitably Qualified and Experienced Person (SQEP) on various plant items as required by the Site License. Carry out Ionising Radiation Regulations (IRR) and Radioactive Substances Act (RSA) surveys to approved and established procedures (Health Physics (HP) Monitor Level 5). Provide technical support to current and future project design and implementation. The post holder may be required to carry out identified roles as necessary according to business need, for example site security support. About the role Hear from the Hiring Manager "Berkeley Site, situated just north of Bristol city, covers 27 hectares of special scientific interest on the bank of the River Severn. The Site finished generating electricity in 1989 and is currently in the decommissioning phase. Priorities at Site now include removing all legacy wastes, emptying the active waste vaults and demolition and deconstruction of the majority of the buildings and facilities to ultimately return the site back to green field status and re-use. Could you be our next Senior Safety Case Engineer? You'll deliver nuclear safety cases and associated documentation supporting the ongoing retrievals activities as well as general site safety case requirements (e.g. Periodic Safety Review). Berkeley is at an exciting stage with all intermediate level waste retrieval plants either retrieving waste or at the final stages of commissioning. Key Deliverables Determine strategies for individual Safety Cases acting as Safety Case Officer, Author or Verifier where nominated.
