SEND Teaching Assistant - Exeter Immediate Start Full-Time Until End of Academic Year Are you a compassionate and dedicated individual with a passion for supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)? We are currently working in partnership with a specialist SEND school in Exeter to recruit a committed SEND Teaching Assistant to join their team immediately. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people, supporting pupils with a range of additional needs including autism, complex learning difficulties, and social, emotional and mental health needs. The Role: As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and other support staff to provide tailored support to students, both in and out of the classroom. You will play a key role in helping pupils engage with their learning, develop independence, and achieve their full potential. Key Responsibilities: Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEND Assist in the delivery of personalised learning plans Support students with communication, behaviour, and emotional regulation Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment Collaborate effectively with teaching staff and external professionals Requirements: Previous experience working with children or young people with SEND (preferred) A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach Strong communication and teamwork skills A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs Relevant qualifications or training (desirable but not essential) What We Offer: Competitive daily rates, paid weekly Ongoing support from a dedicated consultant Opportunity to gain valuable experience in a specialist setting Potential for future long-term or permanent opportunities This position is available for an immediate start and will continue until the end of the academic year, making it ideal for candidates seeking a fulfilling role with stability.
