The Role: To coach and mentor a range of learners who are studying apprenticeship programmes in wood, brick or property maintenance and Multi skills. To support learners on a one to one basis, working with the teaching staff who deliver the qualification to ensure that learners are attending classes and are progressing appropriately. There will be an element of teaching to apprentice learners on the Multi skills programme. Complete reviews with learners and employers out in the workplace to ensure that all learners are working in a safe environment and are making progress in their apprenticeship role in the workplace. Main Duties for this role include: To support apprentices using an appropriate range of methods to facilitate and support learning and achievement. To plan & deliver teaching, learning and assessment for apprentices on the Multi skills programme using the appropriate college format to ensure effective learning. To complete sign up and review fulfilling all audit requirements. To identify individual training needs and to organise training to achieve planned outcomes within defined timescales in line with College processes and procedures. The Role - To deliver effective teaching, learning and assessment to learners within Foundation Learning Department. - Working within Macclesfield College you will join the Cross College and Foundation Learning team, a committed team of practitioners working with Students with Learning Difficulties and/or Disabilities (SLDD), Students with Emotional, Behavioral and Social disorders (EBSD) and those learners studying at Entry Level, Level 1 and Level 2 who may need extra support. - You will be delivering inspiring and engaging learning for students on full time and part time provision for 16 - 18-year old and Adult SLDD Learners. - The post will involve course management, delivery and assessment on the courses you teach and will include Internal Verification responsibilities. The Role 29.6 hours per week - 9:00am - 3:00pm - (flexible hours over 4 or 5 days) Macclesfield College has an innovative vision in delivering high quality education to a wide range of learners. The post-holder will be involved in the sourcing, organisation, planning and reporting of work placements across a range of courses. This includes assessing the suitability, safeguarding requirements and health and safety legislation in line with college policies and procedures. The post holder will be supporting the College learners in achieving their goals and career progression by sourcing high quality work placements, and ensuring high student attendance and satisfaction. Main Duties for this role - To deliver high quality assessment both in college and off site, using an appropriate range of methods to facilitate and support learning and achievement. - To conduct training and assessment with a high level of competence fulfilling all audit requirements. - To assess accurately individual training needs and to design individual training programmes to achieve planned outcomes within defined timescales in line with College processes and procedures. - To have good knowledge and awareness of health and safety within the sector and competence in conducting workplace risk assessments.
