A global manufacturer and a leader within its field, is looking for an experienced Multi Skilled Maintenance Technician/Engineer. Day shift only. The main responsibilities will be to attend breakdowns and minimise production downtime; complete scheduled planned and preventative routines and undertake necessary corrective actions; participate in investigating and correcting process, product and quality related issues; help with the fault finding, diagnostic and corrective actions to maintain and improve the operation of the process equipment. The main skills required for the role: knowledge of workshop equipment; ability to read and interpret electrical / mechanical drawings; PLC experience; experience of high speed production machines; good mechanical appreciation and knowledge of pumps, hydraulics, pneumatics, pistons etc; experience of working with variable speed drives AC / DC; ability to plan, review and implement Continuous Improvement initiatives. Great opportunity of starting within an engineering business, on production welding, to then gain more experience and develop. The starting salary wil increase with the development of the successful candidate. As the role is busy, there will be ample overtime during the week and weekends, if wanted. The right candidate will need to have experience mainly with TIG welding and working with stainless steel and carbon. Pipe welding experience and workin with small diameters up to 40 mm would be ideal. As this is quite a repetitive work environment, you will need to feel comfortable with this on a daily basis, and with accuracy and neatness. Experience of welding dissimilar metals would also be useful. Daily hours, Monday to Friday, 7.30am to 4pm MOnday to Thursday and Friday till 1pm, with the opportunity of as much overtime a required. To provide a full support in the administration of various databases relating to product information, purchase orders, shipment tracking and stock adjustments. The main responsibilities would be to use the ERP system for processing purchase orders and shipments; accurate and timely data entry to support business reporting; checking Sales Contracts from Suppliers correlate with Purchase Order requirements; action stock adjustments and transfers; process admin requests, price changes, schedule updates and purchase order placements; run daily order reports and key supply chain reports; Ad hoc support within the Supply Team department or other teams in the business; able to work to deadlines, have excellent attention to detail and be a confident communicator; the role has many areas of responsibility and requires daily liaison with key teams; excellent organisational and communicational skills;proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
