Axi Recruitment is working with an established business in Brigg for a Finance Manager to join their Senior Leadership Team, supporting the Site Manager and Chief Financial Officer. Job Responsibilities: Ensure that the accounting function operates at all times in accordance with accounting principles and board policy. Ensure that the specific ledgers, records and books of accounts are maintained to satisfy company and government requirements. Support the payroll process, being a key link between site TMs and the Payroll Team, facilitating where required. Provide routine and proactive financial data to support the business. Provide analytical, interpretive, investigative and advisory services on business and commercial impact. Develop and maintain effective programs so departmental KPI s and budgets are monitored and controlled. Assist in the preparation of and review of project requests for all capital expenditure. Establish annual budgets, monthly accounts, and weekly forecasts, in line with business requirements. Provide insight into profitability of products and customers to support business decision-making. Work with third party advisors to ensure timely and accurate completion and filing of tax returns. Liaise with auditors to complete year end statutory accounts and ensure that no major write-ups are received. Qualifications: Fully qualified in ACCA or CIMA. Experience: At least 2 years experience in a similar role. A background in manufacturing is essential. Experience in cost accounting is essential. A strong eye for detail. Proficient in Microsoft Office programmes, including strong Excel and numerical skills, data analysis and insights. Strong communication skills at all levels. Proactive and organised. You will be responsible for driving technical sales to clients, with a primary focus on large-scale heat pumps and related systems. Job Responsibilities: Conduct site surveys and technical assessments to determine client requirements for heat pump solutions or other renewable energy technology. Develop customised solutions for district heating and industrial applications, including heat load calculations, system sizing, and feasibility studies. Collaborate with Engineering Teams to ensure technical accuracy and feasibility of proposed solutions. Identify and qualify prospective customers in target industries such as utilities, manufacturing, and public sector organisations. Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including decision-makers, Technical Teams, and procurement professionals. Present technical and financial value propositions to clients, highlighting the energy efficiency, sustainability, and cost benefits of heat pump systems. Prepare detailed technical proposals, including system schematics, equipment specifications, and cost estimates supported by the wider engineering function. Collaborate with Finance Teams to structure competitive pricing models and ROI analyses. Lead contract negotiations, addressing technical and commercial terms to close deals. Work closely with our key suppliers to source appropriate heat pump models and related components. Liaise with project partners, including principal contractors, consultants, and regulators, to ensure smooth project execution. Stay updated on the latest advancements in heat pump technology and energy policy. Coordinate with Project Managers for a seamless handover of sold systems, ensuring clear communication of project timelines and deliverables. Provide post-sale technical support, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction. Deliver customer training sessions on system operation and maintenance. Identify emerging opportunities in district heating, process industries, and industrial applications. Contribute to sales strategies, product positioning, and promotional activities. Generate regular reports for management on sales performance, pipeline development, and market insights. Qualifications: A degree in an Engineering discipline or similar qualification. Experience: At least 3 years of experience in Technical Sales, Engineering, or Project Management in the renewable energy or HVAC sector. Strong knowledge of heat pump technology, thermodynamics, and district heating systems is preferred. Strong interpersonal skills for client engagement and relationship management. Ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently, at varying project stages. Ability to present technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders effectively. Awareness of regulatory frameworks and sustainability standards. Ability to analyse complex energy requirements and design efficient, innovative solutions.
