In origination you will be involved with the initial identification of sites and creating the concept design that will enable our origination and legal team to negotiate a suitable plot of land. The project then moves into the development stage and at Field we do a lot of design in this stage to ensure the project will receive planning consent and will be built with minimal variations. It is in this stage that the design engineer takes ownership of the site design and works with our internal experts in planning and construction as well as external consultants to create the battery site that we will build. You will create the 2D site plans, equipment drawings and complete 3D modelling using both Civil 3D and REVIT as well as leading the design health and safety review with all the key stakeholders in the project. Once a project has received planning consent you will then work with our construction project managers to ensure the project is built in accordance with our design by reviewing and advising on the detailed design drawings from the contractor.
