HR Administrator 12-Month Contract Location: Porton Down, Wiltshire Contract: 12 months Working Pattern: 60% onsite / 40% remote Rate: £141.25 per day Umbrella IR35: In scope Clearance: Active SC clearance preferred; BPSS candidates may be considered About the Role We are currently seeking three experienced HR Administrators to join a busy HR function supporting a major UK government organisation on a 12-month contract. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HR professional who enjoys working in a varied and fast-paced administrative environment. You will provide high-quality HR support across a range of activities, managing competing priorities while delivering an excellent service to employees, managers and stakeholders. The HR team operates flexibly, with resources rotated across different areas according to business requirements. Key Responsibilities Manage HR transactional queries through to resolution. Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation. Handle confidential and sensitive employee information in line with GDPR requirements. Provide administrative support for Learning & Development activities. Support recruitment processes and hiring managers. Manage shared HR inboxes and respond to queries promptly and professionally. Apply HR policies, procedures and processes consistently. Develop an understanding of pension schemes and relevant processes. Gather, interpret and present HR data, identifying trends and potential issues. Maintain data integrity and ensure HR information is recorded accurately. Build effective relationships with employees, managers and wider stakeholders. Coordinate HR projects and activities. Manage competing workloads, priorities and deadlines. Deliver a high standard of customer service across the HR function. Work collaboratively within the wider HR team and provide support where required. Essential Skills & Experience Proven experience within an HR administration or HR operational environment. Strong attention to detail and excellent data accuracy. Experience handling confidential and sensitive employee information. Good understanding of GDPR and appropriate handling of personal data. Experience managing HR queries, shared inboxes and administrative workloads. Excellent organisational and time-management skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Excellent customer service and stakeholder management skills. Ability to follow established policies, procedures and guidelines. Ability to gather and interpret information and identify issues or trends. Comfortable working collaboratively within a team. Sole UK National. Active SC clearance preferred, although BPSS candidates may be considered. Desirable Experience Recruitment or recruitment administration experience. Level 3 CIPD qualification or equivalent HR training. Previous public sector experience. Experience working with HR data, reporting or MI. Knowledge of pension schemes and their application. Experience coordinating HR projects or programmes. You ll work closely with Architecture, Cloud, and Engineering teams to deliver secure, scalable, and highly available solutions.
