Job purpose: As a Tool Room Technician / Toolmaker, you will play a crucial role in supporting the tool room operations within our manufacturing facility. Your main responsibility will be to ensure the proper maintenance, repair, and availability of tools and equipment required for production. You will work closely with the Tool Room Manager and other team members to contribute to the smooth and efficient functioning of the tool room. The working hours for this role is Monday to Thursday, 7.30am - 4pm. Friday 6.30am - 2pm. Duties & Responsibilities: Tool Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and inspections on a variety of tools and equipment, including machining tools, cutting tools, and precision measuring instruments, to ensure they are in proper working condition. Repair and Troubleshooting: Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with tools and equipment, and perform repairs as necessary to minimize downtime and production delays. Tool Calibration: Assist in the calibration of precision tools and equipment to ensure accuracy and compliance with quality standards. Inventory Management: Assist in maintaining accurate records of tools, spare parts, and consumables in the tool room, including inventory levels, usage, and replenishment. Tool Cleaning and Organization: Clean and organize tools and equipment in the tool room to ensure they are readily accessible and in proper working order. Tool Assembly and Disassembly: Assist in the assembly and disassembly of tools and equipment as needed for maintenance, repair, or replacement of parts. Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while performing maintenance and repair tasks, and report any safety hazards or concerns to the Tool Room Manager. Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of all tool-related activities, including maintenance procedures, repair records, inventory transactions, and other relevant information. Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other members of the tool room team, as well as production, engineering, and quality assurance departments, to support their needs and contribute to overall operational efficiency. Training and Development: Participate in training programs and workshops to enhance your skills and knowledge in tool maintenance, repair, and safety practices. What are we looking for? High school diploma or equivalent. Technical certification or vocational training in tool maintenance or related field is preferred. Previous experience working in a tool room within a manufacturing environment is desirable. Previous experience working with injection moulding machines. Basic knowledge of mechanical tools and equipment, including machining tools, cutting tools, and precision measuring instruments. Ability to use hand and power tools effectively for maintenance and repair tasks. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Commitment to safety and adherence to safety protocols and guidelines. Job role: We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Sales Administrator to join our sales administration team on a full time, temporary basis starting as soon as possible until 31st July 2026. This role is required onsite full time at our head office in Minworth, Sutton Coldfield. The working hours are: Monday to Thursday: 8.30am-4.45pm Friday: 8.30am-3.45pm The successful candidate will be responsible for providing administrative and account support by processing sales orders and shipments, ensuring customer expectations are exceeded throughout. Duties & Responsibilities: Receive customer orders and enquiries by telephone, email, EDI and fax Responsibility for processing high volumes of orders for all customers - UK, subsidiaries and Overseas in the agreed lead time Handle customer enquiries and resolve any problems that may arise Maintain strong relationships with existing clients to foster loyalty and retention. Validation of orders (e.to ensure correct order details are input) Deal with document filing in a timely and efficient manner Liaise with Planning, Factory and Warehouse on relevant issues regarding availability and delivery Supply stock availability information to Account Managers and customers when required Coordinate and respond to correspondence for orders and shipments Process sample sheets for commercial and international customers Supply delivery information and deal with carrier enquiries Supporting the internal account managers with general operations to help reach the team s objectives Ensure excellent service is given both internally and externally What are we looking for? Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) software. Previous experience in sales administration or relevant administrative roles. Strong organisational and multitasking skills. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. A proactive approach and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Knowledge of SAP would be an advantage Good basic standard of education required (GCSE level minimum) A further administration (or similar) qualification would be advantageous Any IT qualifications would be a benefit (ECDL or similar) What do we offer?
