Hexagon Group are delighted to be working with a highly reputable real estate company who are recruiting an Engineering Manager to manage engineering and energy management for an impressive asset in Central London plus supporting with the wider portfolio. The salary for this role is paying between £60,000 - £65,000 plus a generous benefits package, and the opportunity to work with an experienced property management team. As the Engineering Manager, you will play a key role in overseeing the engineering and energy aspects for the building. You will be responsible for driving sustainability initiatives, optimising energy efficiency and ensuring seamless delivery of the engineering systems. The role will take responsibility for developing and implementing comprehensive energy management strategies across the commercial asset, using data analysis and the latest technology to optimise energy consumption, improve building performance and support wider sustainability initiatives. You will lead on the management of the on-site M&E service partner, ensuring the effective operation and maintenance of the building management systems, alongside the mechanical and electrical infrastructure. The role will also support the Asset Management team with the production of service charge budgets and ensure all relevant statutory compliance, regulations and standards are maintained and up to date. You will also have responsibility for overseeing a range of on-site projects, including M&E replacement programmes, refurbishments, fit-outs and energy efficiency upgrades. This is a varied role that will combine operational engineering management with energy, sustainability, compliance and project delivery, playing a key part in maintaining and improving the overall performance of the asset. The successful candidate will have a strong mechanical and electrical engineering background, ideally supported by an HNC, HND, degree or Masters qualification in Building Services, Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering. You will have hands-on engineering experience and a proven track record of managing engineering services within a commercial property or asset, either working for a real estate organisation or an M&E service provider. A strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems and their day-to-day operation is important, alongside the ability to work closely with contractors, clients and other stakeholders. An understanding of energy conservation measures, sustainable building practices and smart building technology would be beneficial, as would some exposure to energy and sustainability projects. You will also have a strong customer service focus and be comfortable working within a demanding environment, combining sound technical knowledge with a practical, hands-on and proactive approach.

The asset offers a diverse mix of commercial and operational spaces, and the successful candidate will play an important role in supporting the day-to-day management and smooth running of the property. The salary for this role is up to £50,000 plus company benefits and future opportunities to progress your career. The role will involve acting as a key point of contact for occupier queries and day-to-day operational matters, whilst supporting the management of on-site service partners and contractors to ensure a consistently high standard of service. You will assist with health and safety across the asset, including completing relevant inspections and responding to any issues that arise, as well as monitoring PPM schedules and ensuring reactive works are dealt with promptly and effectively. The role will also provide support with the management of service charge budgets and expenditure, occupier engagement initiatives, compliance and wider building operations. You will also deputise for the Operations Manager when required. Ideally, you will have previous experience working within property or facilities management, with experience gained within a commercial or mixed-use environment. You should have a good understanding of building operations and contractor management, alongside a strong customer service focus and the ability to work effectively within a busy and demanding environment. An industry-recognised health and safety qualification such as IOSH would be advantageous, as would previous exposure to service charge budgets.
