Salary l £27,000 - £32,000 Working Hours: Monday- Friday - 9am - 5pm Location: LIVERPOOL As Graduate Developer you will be working across a variety of projects and be responsible for designing, coding, testing, and supporting cloud-based applications and services that are fundamental in supporting the business and MJ Quinn's working culture, reputation and values. Our core technology stack is primarily focused around, but not limited to, .NET, C#, Web APIs, React, Typescript, SQL and Microsoft Azure with integration with other internal and external systems that utilise a range of other technologies. Key responsibilities The key responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to the following tasks: Design and code clean, efficient and testable web-based applications and services. Take ownership of projects from project kick-off through to deployment and support. Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems across multiple projects. Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to establish business needs and requirements. Manage requirements and development tasks using Agile and Jira. Transform requirements into technical designs that follow industry best practices and produce robust, quality solutions. Participate in testing and code reviews to ensure technical accuracy, standards, and functional compliance to the design. Identify issues and their underlying causes, clearly communicate them to stakeholders, suggest solutions and guide the implementation. Participate in project meetings with stakeholders providing clear and concise guidance and progress updates throughout the life of projects. To always promote a positive and professional image of the department, by adhering to company policies, procedures, and standards. Work as part of a larger team to develop working practices and procedures. Provide technical, application and systems support to all levels of the IT support teams. Person Specification To be successful in this role the Graduate Software Developer will: Have strong planning and organisation. The Technical Design Manager will lead a team of M&E designers and Sector Material Experts providing both pre and post contract support to the division and clients, including design and expert advice. Plan and deliver all design and advisory to internal and external stakeholders. Manage technical resources within the Energy Division. Manage appointed technical resources within and outside the organisation. Develop and maintain competence and credibility. Set and drive departmental KPI's and challenge improvement. Provide leadership, governance, and direction to ensure staff are kept safe, engaged, focused, developed, and delivering to their potential. Contribute to the development of the Energy Division. Enhanced DBS clearance required. A legal right to work in the UK. Technically competent, delivering relevant, compliant, and commercially acceptable technical solutions. Understand the whole life project cycle. Strong knowledge of the Building Services industry, including alternative energy. A recognised degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, ideally with membership to CIBSE. Competent with MS programmes, CAD, BIM, and other related design software's. Able to demonstrate a minimum of 15 years' experience delivering design and construction, in a similar role within the industry.
