The Insurance and Risk team is a dynamic, growing team, based in the centre of the insurance market in London. The team is made up of 2 Partners, 1 Legal Director, 6 Solicitors and a Trainee. This will be a part fee-earning role with huge variation, where you will have hands-on involvement, and make an impactful contribution to the team . The Paralegal role objective is to undertake routine legal tasks including: Assisting fee earners with day-to-day file handling. Drafting legal documents, such as defences, counterclaims and counter schedules of loss, using appropriate precedents and templates. Coordinating clear document management including preparing and maintaining records and assisting with the ordering and scheduling of files. Attending court, witness interviews and conferences alongside other members of the team. Undertaking legal research, using appropriate methods and sourcing, presenting the results in an accurate and timely manner. Reviewing disclosure, creation of bundles and evidence summaries. Handling routine correspondence and communications with the client, third parties and claimants' solicitors to ensure the progression of the case to resolution. Administrative support including billing and redaction. Ensure all work complies with risk management policies and procedures, in line with GDPR. Take an active role with the Paralegal and Trainee (PT) group and attend networking events or careers fairs. Take an active part in promoting the firm and department through social media channels such as LinkedIn, X and Facebook. About You As a Paralegal you will need to have: Legal experience working in either an established Insurance , Regulatory or Litigation team. Undergraduate Degree 2:1 or above, and preferably post LPC or working towards (or equivalent).
