Production Operative Location: Farnborough Job Type: Permanent / Office-based We are recruiting for a hands-on Production Engineering Specialist to join a technical production team based in Farnborough. This is a key role focused on ensuring products leave the workshop fully tested, calibrated and built to a high standard. You will be responsible for the wiring, assembly, testing, fault finding and repair of production equipment, as well as supporting the build and calibration of radar units. The role would suit someone with strong electro-mechanical assembly experience, good attention to detail and a practical background in wiring, soldering, crimping, cable assembly and product testing. Key Responsibilities Wiring, assembly and testing of production equipment in line with project requirements Cleaning, processing and logging equipment returns and RMAs Fault finding and repair of equipment Calibration and build of radar units Supporting development teams with prototype builds Providing cover for goods in/out during annual leave Following work instructions, drawings and diagrams accurately Ensuring products are completed to a high standard and delivered on time Skills and Experience Required Experience of mechanical assembly Wiring, soldering and crimping experience Cable assembly experience Ability to follow work instructions, drawings, diagrams and build documentation Good general IT skills, including MS Office Strong attention to detail Good communication skills Able to manage multiple tasks and work to tight timescales Able to work independently and as part of a team Practical, hands-on approach with a focus on quality Suitable backgrounds may include: Production Technician, Assembly Technician, Electronics Technician, Electro-Mechanical Technician, Build Technician, Test Technician, Wiring Technician, Cable Assembly Technician, Repair Technician or similar. Mechanical Building Services Engineer / Mechanical Design Engineer Intermediate or Senior Chesham I'm recruiting for a building services consultancy in Chesham looking for an intermediate or senior mechanical engineer. The work is focused on healthcare and public sector projects, including work for NHS trusts. You'll design heating, ventilation, cooling and domestic water systems, producing calculations, drawings and specifications. You'll also work with electrical engineers, architects and client teams to develop designs that meet each project's requirements. You'll need: Mechanical design experience within building services Experience working on healthcare, NHS or other complex non-residential buildings A sound understanding of UK building regulations and relevant design standards The ability to produce and explain your own calculations and design decisions At senior level, you'll also lead mechanical design work and review the work of less experienced engineers.
