This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded contract management professional who enjoys improving service delivery, managing supplier performance, and ensuring contracts deliver real value. If you thrive in an operational environment where relationships, governance and accountability are key, we'd love to hear from you. The Opportunity This is not a construction or project delivery role. Working closely with internal stakeholders, contractors and external partners, you'll oversee contract performance, monitor compliance, manage risk and drive continuous improvement across a diverse operational portfolio. You'll play a key role in ensuring contractual obligations are translated into effective day-to-day service delivery while providing assurance to senior leadership that services are performing to the required standards. Key Responsibilities Manage operational service contracts throughout their lifecycle. Monitor supplier performance against KPIs, SLAs and contractual obligations. Build strong relationships with contractors, service providers, local authorities and internal stakeholders. Identify service failures and contractual risks, implementing corrective action where required. Carry out contract audits, compliance reviews and governance activities. Investigate contract breaches and ensure issues are resolved effectively. Manage contract variations, extensions and change control processes. Produce clear and insightful performance reports for senior leadership. Support continuous improvement by reviewing contract management processes and identifying efficiencies. Ensure contracts consistently deliver value for money while maintaining high-quality services for residents. About You We're looking for someone who can confidently hold suppliers to account whilst building positive, collaborative relationships. You'll be able to interpret contractual requirements, challenge poor performance where necessary, and work with operational teams to deliver practical solutions. You'll ideally have experience within a Housing Association, Local Authority, Facilities Management, Healthcare, Student Accommodation or another service-led environment. Essential Experience Proven experience managing operational service contracts. Strong knowledge of supplier and contractor performance management. Experience monitoring KPIs, SLAs and service performance. Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills. Strong understanding of contract compliance and governance. Experience carrying out audits and managing contractual risk. Ability to investigate service failures and implement corrective actions. Excellent communication and reporting skills, with confidence presenting information to senior stakeholders. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. What's in it for You? Join a respected Housing Association making a genuine difference to communities across London. Hybrid working with an excellent work-life balance. Opportunity to influence contract performance across a large operational portfolio. Work closely with senior leadership and play a key role in improving services for residents. Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package. Long-term career development within a progressive organisation.
