Position: Panel Wirer Salary: 16 - 21 per hour Location: Milton Keynes Proactive currently have an exciting opportunity for a Panel Wirer to begin work for a leading manufacturing and production business in Milton Keynes. Due to rapid company expansion and an ever growing order book, our client is hoping to recruit at least one additional Panel Wirer to help ensure the quality and accuracy of the Site's function is well maintained throughout this new and excited influx of work. You will be responsible for: Assemble and wire mechanical switchgears Carry out repairs on electrical switchgears and panels Looming wiring control panels Work from wiring schematics to assemble products Wiring, Soldering, Crimping, Terminating and Looming cables Experience: Have experience in creating quality in-build hand looming Be able to carry out mechanical assemblies Be skilled in in-build hand looming and in producing neat and accurate wiring Be able to read and work from schematics and drawings Have experience of working with Wiring, Soldering, Crimping, Terminating and Looming cables If you are interested in this position, please apply with a copy of your CV & a member of our team will be in touch to discuss the opportunity with you in further detail. Project Engineer - Retrofit Team Role Overview The Project Engineer will work as a member of the Retrofit team to manage and provide the necessary engineering detail so that solutions can be built safely, to all relevant standards and cost effectively. Project Engineers work on multiple projects with values from 50k up to 5 million and ensure the development of engineered solutions from customer commitment through implementation and handover. The role is based out of the Market Harborough office and the successful candidate will be expected to travel regularly to sites across Northern Europe. Key Responsibilities Design & Engineering: Translates customer requests into design solutions with support from the Project Engineering Team Leader and others Reviews design operational feasibility Reviews Material Flow Diagrams in conjunction with the Simulation department Conducts value engineering of solutions Prepares appropriate system layouts to provide solutions to customer requirements Prepares site mechanical installation packs Prepares detailed specifications and design documents needed for production Reviews equipment design and specifications to ensure standardisation of design across all projects Reviews equipment throughputs and capacities in conjunction with the Simulation Department Project Documentation & Management Prepares project technical summaries Develops technical specifications for 3rd party equipment Conducts technical analysis of 3rd party equipment quotations Develops design risk assessments and reviews projects to ensure full compliance with current legislation Participates in regular design team reviews including the preparation of adequate minutes Participates in project review meetings Surveys sites and installations Manages general project documentationAssists in the preparation of H&S files and technical files Technical & Software Skills Uses MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, Outlook) and CAD Software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, Navisworks, Trimble) in execution of duties Ensures that appropriate equipment is used through technical detail engineering Designs to relevant CE norms and legislative standards Demonstrates knowledge of local authority regulations Collaboration & Support: Provides technical support to the sales team as required Attends customer meetings as required Works collaboratively, supportively and integratively with colleagues and other departments Maintains and develops departmental processes to ensure continuous improvement in efficiency Identifies add-value opportunities Identifies cost-saving opportunities Essential Requirements Previous experience in a Project Engineering role within an automated materials handling environment Skilled in setting up designs in AutoCAD and Material Cost Calculation Previous experience providing management information to customers and management Experience being part of technical engineering and/or concept sales teams Willing to travel within the UK and Northern Europe for client meetings and other entities Desirable Requirements Experience working with SLA agreements with supplying partners
