We are looking for a highly skilled Electrical Shift Engineer to join their dedicated team in Thetford and help them maintain their reputation for manufacturing excellence. The Role As our clients Electrical Shift Engineer, you will be the heartbeat of their Thetford manufacturing facility. You will take ownership of maintaining, repairing, and optimizing their automated electrical systems to ensure seamless, safe, and efficient production. This is a hands-on, fast-paced role perfect for a proactive problem-solver who thrives in an industrial environment and wants to make a tangible impact on facility downtime and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities Rapid Fault Finding: Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair complex electrical equipment faults to minimize production downtime. Preventative Maintenance: Execute and help optimize scheduled Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) across all site machinery. System Optimization: Collaborate with cross-functional engineering and operations teams to identify areas for equipment improvement and efficiency gains. Safety & Compliance: Ensure all maintenance and repair work strictly adheres to industry health, safety, and quality regulations. Documentation: Maintain accurate logs of all maintenance activities, repairs, and system updates. What We Are Looking For: Recognized qualifications in Electrical Engineering or a highly related technical field. Proven proficiency in electrical troubleshooting, fault finding, and reactive repair. Strong background in executing and managing Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedules. Deep knowledge of current health, safety, and electrical regulations. Excellent time-management skills with the ability to prioritize critical tasks under pressure. Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-first mindset. Desirable: Prior experience working within an automated manufacturing, FMCG, or industrial setting. Familiarity with automated manufacturing equipment and PLC systems.
