Skilled Soldering Operator North Greenwich area 42.5 hrs per week (Days & Night shifts) £11.39 - £13.80 p/h PAYE (+ holidays pay, pensions and free parking) Long term contract Due to a huge ramp up in production, we are recruiting for skilled soldering operators on behalf of a global Engineering company, to work in a busy production environment in Greenwich, SE London. Skilled soldering operatives are responsible for safe and accurate mechanical or electro-mechanical assembly of subsea and land based communication equipment. Full training on fibre optic handling, coding & splicing is provided to operators, however previous experience is beneficial. Ideally, as a Skilled soldering Operator you will either be educated in an engineering field or have worked within a similar industry such as; Telecommunications, Manufacturing, Production, Military, Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical, Robotics, Automotive, Aerospace, Aviation, Precision Engineering or Prototyping etc. Soldering Operatives may carry out tasks such as; Following detailed assembly specifications, written instructions and engineering diagrams Wiring racks or internal units Mechanical assembly of parts, kit & components Fine Pitch / SMD Soldering Crimping Fibre optic splicing, handling and colour coding (training provided on site) Using in-house computer systems to log materials used (SAP training provided) Material posting in SAP KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED Previous soldering experience is a must. Possesses a good standard of numeracy and literacy, and IT competent. Good understanding of, and commitment to, safe working practices. Previous manufacturing, production, technical or engineering experience would be desirable. Experienced Stock Controller Greenwich SE10 £11.39 - £13.80 per hour Ongoing Contract, 42.5 hours p/w HOURS OF WORK Mon - Thurs: 07:30 - 17:00 Fri: 07:30 - 15:45 An opportunity has arisen within the warehouse department of a multinational engineering company for an experienced Production Controller/Inventory Controller, working within the Inventory control team. As a Stock Controller, you will be managing the supply of materials for use in Production, to ensure site plans and requirements are met. Responsibilities will also include, but are not limited to; Supply and control of materials from goods in, to the stores warehouse and production areas. Controlling the movement of materials from goods receipt to end user physically and electronically, using Excel spread sheets and SAP systems. Ensuring materials are kitted and available to production in an orderly and timely way. Conducting cycle counts of stock and inventory on site in the stores area. Controlling traceability and shelf-life issues for key materials. To put stock away into designated locations and awareness of level loads allowed in the warehouse storage areas and maintaining records and databases. Interacting with material controllers and production staff on daily needs and issues. Assisting in the planning and allocation of Team workload. Assisting in the preparation, dissemination, and use of Team KPI to control processes and key materials. Qualifications Experience of SAP in a manufacturing environment would be a positive advantage. Must be able to demonstrate the capability of working in a pressurised, deadline driven, but procedure-controlled production environment. Good communication skills, verbal and written, are required. Computer literacy, with confidence in the use of standard computer packages, will need to be demonstrated. Knowledge of material handling techniques and theory will be a positive advantage. Planning / Scheduling Administrator Mon Fri 8:00am - 5:00pm Based: GL2 Permanent position. Immediate start required Salary: £22,000 - £24,000 + Perm benefits Experienced maintenance planner / scheduler required for large maintenance specialist with housing contracts in Gloucestershire and Wiltshire. Working alongside an experienced contracts manager and friendly field based installation engineers, you will plan and coordinate engineers for domestic boiler repairs, servicing and preventive maintenance for our clients in Gloucestershire and Wiltshire. All operations are based out of our central office. Responsibilities Dealing with field based engineers both face to face and via phone and email communications. Arranging service and repair appointments directly with customers and client representatives whilst scheduling these appointments with the appropriate engineer using our state of the art planning software (full training will be given). Reviewing completed job reports and updating electronic records. Reporting on contract performance KPI's to the contracts manager. Raise, issue and process purchase orders using SAGE accounting software and monitor spending on each job. Support the sales process including contacting customers and dealing with enquiries via telephone and email ensuring that the customer has had a positive customer journey. Comply with and support company procedures. Requirements Good understanding of basic Microsoft packages including Excel and MS Teams. Flexibility and adaptability to work under own initiative and in a busy office environment as a team. An ability to multi task and prioritise workloads. An ability to confidently communicate within the rest team and with internal and external stakeholders. Successful candidates will need to demonstrate previous administration/scheduling experience. Previous experience within an office scheduling role would be beneficial but is not essential as a dedicated training programme will be delivered; previous administration experience is desired.
