Electrical Assembly Technician required ideally with IPC certification (IPC 620 or J-Std ideal) to work on PCB component soldering, micro-soldering, crimping and general wiring on the assembly of high value, low volume rugged devices. You will work to schematics, following routings, testing and taking performance measurements with a PC based system. The ideal candidate will be at technical leadership level willing to unpack requirements, coach juniors, conduct design reviews and be hands on where needed to deliver working FPGA architecture that is easily implemented to a client environment. This role is focused on designing, developing and testing complex electronic hardware from initial concept through to manufacture. You will work hands-on with analogue and digital electronics, PCB design, hardware testing and verification, while working closely with engineering and manufacturing teams throughout the product lifecycle. The ideal candidate will have strong practical experience in electronics design and PCB development, with knowledge of areas such as high-speed digital design, FPGA and VHDL, Embedded C, MATLAB or RF being highly advantageous.
