Finance Manager - 6-Month Fixed-Term Contract Salary: £75,000-£85,000 per annum (day rate considered) Location: London (4 days office / 1 day WFH - flexibility available) Reporting to: Finance Director Role Overview We're working with a high-growth digital media business that is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join their finance function on a 6-month fixed-term contract . This role will support the Finance Director through a post-acquisition integration, helping to embed new reporting requirements, processes and ways of working, while also supporting the day-to-day running of the finance function in a fast-paced, scaling environment.The role will involve close collaboration with senior stakeholders and teams across the business, and would suit someone who can quickly get up to speed, work autonomously, and add immediate value. Key Duties & Responsibilities Supporting the project management of post-acquisition integration activities across Finance, IT, Insurance, People, Treasury and Data Protection Assisting with increased reporting requirements during the integration period, including board and operational reporting Helping to design, document and embed finance processes to meet ongoing group reporting and compliance requirements Supporting day-to-day finance operations, including: Month-end close and management accounts preparation Producing financial reports and analysis for senior stakeholders Proactive accounts receivable management Working closely with the commercial (sales) team on bookings and invoicing Cost management and financial controls Payroll and pensions administration Supporting and helping to develop members of the existing finance team Person Specification Qualified or qualified-by-experience in management accounting Strong hands-on experience using Xero Excellent Excel skills Proven experience supporting acquisitions, integrations or business change projects Experience working in a founder-led business, scale-up or SME environment Proactive, adaptable and comfortable working under pressure in a fast-paced setting Confident working with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams Additional Information Reports directly to the Finance Director 4 days per week in the office with 1 day working from home (flexibility available) 6-month fixed-term contract, with day-rate contractors also considered

Financial Accountant - 6 month contract London High-Growth Fintech A high-growth global Fintech is seeking a Financial Accountant to join its finance team. This is a key role within a fast-paced finance function. This role is ideal for a technically strong accountant who will take full ownership of the month-end process and champion best practices as the company navigates a transformational phase. The successful candidate will be a key contributor to the finance team, driving efficiencies and ensuring excellence in financial processes. Key Responsibilities Month-End Close : Manage the month-end close process, delivering accurate and timely financial statements. Financial Reporting : Prepare and review monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Variance Analysis : Conduct in-depth variance analysis to provide actionable insights to management. Budgeting and Forecasting : Support budget creation and forecasting, collaborating across departments. Reconciliations : Ensure accuracy through meticulous balance sheet reconciliations, identifying and resolving discrepancies. Team Mentorship : Mentor junior finance team members, providing guidance and fostering a culture of best practice. Championing Best Practice : Identify, develop, and implement process improvements to streamline financial operations and enhance controls. Audit Coordination : Facilitate audit processes, liaising with reporting team and providing necessary documentation. Compliance and Internal Controls : Maintain and improve internal controls and ensure compliance with IFRS/UK GAAP standards. Key Skills and Qualifications Qualifications : ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent. Experience : Previous experience in financial services or fintech is desirable but not essential. Technical Skills : Strong knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP, with proven experience in month-end close and financial reporting. Transformational Mindset : Adaptable and willing to champion change, understanding the importance of continuous improvement. Analytical : Strong problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail in financial data. Self-Starter : Highly motivated and capable of working independently. Communication Skills : Excellent communication and collaboration skills, able to engage with stakeholders across departments. Software Proficiency : Experience with accounting systems (e.g., Sun, NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills.
