The Opportunity: We have an exciting career opportunity for a driven and enthusiastic Sales Executive to join the team behind Clarion's market-leading Travel portfolio; the UK's top consumer shows in this dynamic sector. Our flagship events include Destinations: The Holiday & Travel Show , The Luxury Travel Fair and The Caravan, Motorhome & Holiday Show The ideal candidate is a motivated sales professional seeking to contribute to the ongoing success of these high-profile live events, playing a key role in generating revenue by selling exhibition space and sponsorship packages to a wide range of travel brands, tourism boards, and lifestyle companies. They will have solid sales experience with a proven track record in making high volume outbound sales calls, with success; be assertive and confident; provide excellent customer service, along with a practiced sales ability; and possess a hunger to reach and exceed set targets. They will possess a natural tenacious 'can do' approach to creative problem-solving and have the ability to work calmly to a consistently high level of output, under pressure whilst multi-tasking. Key Responsibilities: Sourcing and contracting of new business and management of incremental growth from existing business. Tele-sales calls to existing and potential exhibitors in order to meet and beat sales revenue targets across a portfolio of brands. Developing and maintaining excellent relationships with exhibitors, sponsors, and the rest of the show team. Personal high sales behaviours demonstrated on Salesforce. Ability to vet/be selective and source appropriate new exhibitors that fit with the brand values of the events and target audience. Understand and support the Sales Manager with the management and curation of the floor plan in conjunction with the Sales and Operations Team. Keeping abreast of market developments and identifying and researching new clients. Handling enquiries by phone, email and producing/sending mailings and general office correspondence. Liaising with the whole show team including Marketing, Operations and Finance teams as required. Resolving exhibitor conflicts both in the office and on-site. Maintaining key customer care objectives. Ensuring that all sales administration is completed to a high and accurate standard in a timely manner including managing and reporting on regular sales pipelines. Acting as a support to the sales effort including other sales staff. Attending industry functions when required (including occasional weekends) and visiting relevant UK and international based exhibitions. Visiting clients when necessary/appropriate with other team members. Liaising with the Finance department to assist in deposit collection where necessary. Representing Clarion Events in a professional manner. Knowledge, Skills & Behaviours: Solid and proven results/experience as a Sales Executive. Experience within exhibitions is desirable. Demonstrates a clear understanding of events and the sales process required to contract exhibitors. Experience using Salesforce or a similar CRM. Ability to work calmly under pressure with a consistently high level of output. Acknowledges the benefits of face-to-face customer engagement (the bedrock of exhibition sales). Demonstrates a hardworking and conscientious approach to sales, with a keen eye for detail. Is proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Works well under positive direction with the ability to self-motivate. Creative and positive approach to problem solving. The Opportunity: The Energy Council is a global network connecting senior energy executives to finance and investment professionals to enable access to capital and facilitate deals. This is achieved through a series of award-winning conferences and various bespoke networking experiences. Recent event locations include London, Houston, New York, Seville, Singapore, and Rio de Janeiro. An opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and commercially minded Sponsorship Sales Manager to join the Energy Council team in London. The successful candidate will sell sponsorship into the portfolio's global events and help them surpass all commercial milestones. Reporting into the Head of Energy Council, the Sponsorship Sales Manager is responsible for hitting their sales KPI's and targets for each event per year, as set within the commission structure. We are looking for an enthusiastic and data-driven Sponsorship Sales Manager dedicated to creating, delivering, and reporting on commercial aspects of each event. The role will hold responsibility for sales strategy, driving new growth and expanding market share. This role involves managing client relationships, developing sales strategies, and achieving revenue targets across our portfolio of events. The Sponsorship Sales Manager will collaborate closely with Marketing, and Production to align with sales processes and targets. The ideal candidate will have outstanding attention to detail, be customer-centric, highly proactive and an excellent team player with the ability to manage multiple projects to a high standard. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Consultative Sales Significant professional experience in sales, showcasing an ability to drive revenue growth. Consultative sponsorship selling. Ensure that the event sales plan is being delivered to plan - on target and within forecast. Identification of new commercial opportunities and the development of new revenue streams. Knowledge of key market drivers and ability to reflect them in the direction and output of the business. Maintain a strong level of market and industry knowledge through personal research (by phone and in person) to identify pain points and new potential revenue streams. Knowledge of the competitive landscape and ability to convey key USPs for relevant conferences. Work effectively with both the Production (Project Management) and Sales team when needed. Working hours may differ depending on which events they are working on. Prepare for flexible working hours. Client Relationship Management Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key clients and stakeholders. Identify opportunities for upselling, cross-selling, and expanding existing accounts. Act as the primary point of contact for top-tier clients, ensuring exceptional service and satisfaction. Collaboration with Internal Teams Partner with Marketing to align lead generation and promotional strategies. Work with Product Development to understand client needs and communicate market demands. Forecast accurately in project meetings and with your Sales Coordinator. Knowledge, Skills & Behaviours: A self-driven sales hunter with a motivated attitude, who thrives within a fast paced environment and can work autonomously. Experience/desire selling into the Middle East. Ability to build relationships over a period of time. Ability to sell to individuals (senior executives) and to sell to businesses (both). Desire and willingness to travel. Ability to not only identify, but successfully engage, with companies that are unfamiliar with Energy Council or World Refining Association. Ability to gauge client objectives quickly and achieve them. The ability to grow an account once brought onto the business. Interest in the Oil & Gas and Energy industry. Work experience in energy, or finance and investment, and capital markets. Commercially/growth minded and revenue driven. A proven track record of delivering revenue against forecast. Ability to actively track/detail activities in a CRM.
