The role involves a mix of workshop fabrication (approx. 60%) and site installation work (approx. 40%), mainly within food manufacturing environments working with stainless steel fabrication. Key Duties TIG welding and fabricating stainless steel. Manufacturing bespoke components from engineering drawings Installation and modification work on-site in food factories Ensuring work meets high hygiene and quality standards Supporting fabrication and installation teams on projects Requirements Strong TIG welding / fabrication experience Experience working with stainless steel Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings Comfortable with both workshop and site-based work Experience in food or hygienic environments would be beneficial Own vehicle required to travel to sites Own basic hand tools Own welding mask Pay & Details £20.00 per hour Subcontract basis Immediate start.

Electroplating Engineer Location: Birmingham Salary: Up to £35,000 (depending on experience) About the Role We are seeking an experienced Electroplating Engineer to join our team in Birmingham. This role is integral to delivering high-quality plated finishes that reflect our commitment to craftsmanship, precision, and innovation within the luxury interiors sector. The successful candidate will have extensive hands-on experience in plating Nickel, Chrome, and Copper, particularly on brass substrates, and will demonstrate a strong commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities Monitor, maintain, and adjust chemical solutions to ensure optimal plating performance. Process components through multi-stage chemical treatments. Conduct detailed quality inspections to ensure products meet company standards. Maintain and troubleshoot plating equipment to ensure operational efficiency. Ensure all work complies with company quality standards and core values. Adhere strictly to environmental, health, and safety regulations. Identify opportunities to improve processes and reduce defects. Mandatory Requirements Minimum of 10 years experience in electroplating on metals, including brass. Proven experience with Nickel, Chrome, and Copper plating processes. Strong alignment with company values and commitment to high standards. Excellent problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail. Good written and verbal English skills. Desirable (Not Essential) Experience working with brass hardware. Basic computer literacy and familiarity with general IT systems. Experience within machining and manufacturing shop floor environments. Hours 7.30am to 4.30pm Monday to Thursday and 7.30am to 12.30pm Friday. This a permanent position that starts immediately.
