Fabricator Welder Security & Architectural Steelwork (Permanent) A well-established metal fabrication company based in Birmingham, is looking for an experienced Fabricator Welder for a permanent role. Work is both in the workshop and on government sites, including prisons and other secure buildings. This role is subject to an Enhanced DBS check. What You ll Do: Fabricate and weld security grilles, steel doors, gates, canopies, handrails, balustrades, staircases, platforms, and sheet metal components. Work from technical drawings, assembling and finishing fabricated items to a high standard. Driving to site in the company van. Assist with fitting and installation on site (some general building experience useful). Requirements: Proven fabrication and welding experience (MIG essential, TIG an advantage) Skilled in marking out, cutting, and assembling steel, stainless steel, and aluminium Ability to read drawings and follow specifications Full UK driving licence. Willingness to work on secure government sites and undergo an advanced DBS clearance. Hours & Pay: Monday Friday, 7:30am 4:30pm Up to £17.50 hr depending on experience + overtime This is a permanent role. Apply now with your CV.
