SEMH Mentor/Coach Education Solutions are currently seeking an experienced teaching assistant to work in a High school supporting with specific SEN students who need help in the classroom. You can get to the school by good road networks and there is parking on site. Your role will be: Providing bespoke support and working with children with SEMH and other additional needs Creating a safe, nurturing environment that allows the children to learn and fulfil their potential Providing academic support for children either on a one to one basis or in small groups Offering pastoral support, life coaching and supporting with barriers to learning Enable specific students to arrive in school and be ready to learn Supporting specific students off site in an alternative provision so possessing a car is essential. If you have any of the below experience, it would be useful but not essential Teaching assistant qualification (L2 or L3) would be desired but not essential Experience in this type of setting with KS3-4 aged children An understanding of de-escalation techniques Undertaken youth work and/or volunteered in the community with young people An interest in supporting in core subjects mainly Maths and English The Role: The location of this role is in South Manchester, very close to M60. You will be required to work 8.15 3.30pm Monday Thursday and 8.15 2.30 on a Friday. SEND Teaching Assistant Are you a Teaching Assistant who has experience working with children with additional needs? Are you looking for a long term role supporting children within a mainstream primary school but working with a different year groups? Here at Education Solutions we are recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to work with both KS1 and KS2 children on a 1-2-1 basis. The children have additional needs including ASC, speech delay and ADHD so experience working with children that need extra support is desirable. The school is a nurturing environment that caters for children within the Trafford area and is mainstream, however there are a number of children with additional needs in Key Stage one and two, and we need to support pupils on a day to day basis with their education and emotional needs.
