Trust Speech and Language Therapist - Fairfax Multi Academy Trust (FMAT) Salary: FMAT Scale SC6 - P01 Full Time (£26,445 - £34,373) - Term Time Only Actual salary £23,127.81 - £30,060.55 depending on qualifications, and experience. Start date: September 2022 or as soon as possible thereafter Following an increasing demand from our academies and our development of a therapeutic services team, we are pleased to be recruiting a Speech and Language Therapist (SaLT) to join our strong, highly regarded and supportive team of education professionals who are part of the wider school improvement team within the MAT. The school improvement team has developed over the past twelve months and we have recently begun to explore our therapeutic offer to FMAT students. The MAT has made the decision to fund and bring in house therapeutic services to include SaLT and EP (Educational Psychology) to work alongside the central and academy level pastoral and SEND teams. The MAT has made additional investment in these services to increase capacity in response to rising demand, to support student wellbeing and to add additional support to our multi-disciplinary team. The school improvement team are involved with strategic SEND and Inclusion development work and we are looking to build on this further with the development of our mental health network and increased training offer, with the aim of becoming a regional trailblazer to establish mental health support teams within MATs. This is an excellent opportunity for a creative and enthusiastic Speech and Language Therapist who is committed to inclusion, working with others, and determined to improve experiences and outcomes for children, young people and their families.
