Static Site - Mechanical Engineer (Plumbing Bias) We are seeking a practical, detail-focused Mechanical Engineer with a strong plumbing background to carry out Mechanical PPM across a range of buildings. This role suits someone who has previously worked as a site-based engineer in a customer-facing environment and is confident managing a varied workload. Key Responsibilities Deliver Planned Preventative Maintenance (Mechanical & HVAC) across multiple buildings Respond to and resolve reactive maintenance tasks Support statutory compliance activities where trained (e.g., emergency lighting checks, fire damper inspections) Work in line with current health and safety legislation and internal policies Essential Skills & Experience Experience as a site-based engineer across a multi-building estate NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing or equivalent Experience maintaining HVAC systems Background in compliance maintenance within commercial or public buildings Understanding of Legionella control, ACOP L8 and water hygiene requirements Ability to produce accurate compliance documentation Good attention to detail, organisation, and time management Comfortable using handheld devices or CAFM systems Full UK driving licence Desirable WRAS approved Gas Safe Registered Legionella awareness training (City & Guilds or equivalent) Experience with TMV maintenance, dead-leg identification and water sampling CSCS or other relevant safety card Salary & Benefits £40,000 £45,000 depending on experience (Gas qualifications advantageous) Mobile phone and tablet provided 24 days annual leave plus bank holidays Company pension Uniform and full PPE supplied Who We re Looking For Candidates who have experience working across a portfolio of buildings and who are confident in a customer-facing role.
