Category Manager Procurement Manager Commercial Manager Summer-Browning Associates is currently supporting our client in the Defence Sector, who is seeking a Category Manager for an initial 6-month assignment with an option to extend. Location: Hybrid working - Reading The ideal candidate will hold an active security clearance and strong experience in Category Management, with the following skills and qualifications: Demonstrated experience in Category Management and developing Category Strategies within the Defence, Nuclear, or Central Government sectors. Proficiency in Strategic Sourcing, Supplier Relationship Management, and Contract Management. Familiarity with the public sector and end-to-end procurement processes. Knowledge of the Procurement Act 2023 and the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 is preferred. Experience with NEC 3/4 Contract Management is also desired. CIPS Certification is a plus. The ideal candidate will hold Active SC clearance and have a strong background in delivery Security Architecture support, with the following skills and experience: Experience in technical and security architecture and design within a secure environment. Experience operating within a security architecture function. Knowledge of a broad range of industry-standard technologies, both proprietary and open source, across a diverse range of Microsoft and Linux-based deployments. Knowledge of software and infrastructure design considerations and be comfortable working with engineers to understand and guide the datacentre environment. Experience architecting and securing solutions within highly sensitive and classified environments. Location: London The ideal candidate will hold an active security clearance and have a strong background in Enterprise Architecture, along with the following skills and experience: Extensive experience in developing Enterprise Architectural strategies, leading design authorities, and implementing architectural governance. Proven track record in leading enterprise architecture for large-scale cloud hosting, specifically in Azure and GCP, within high-security government Tier 2 environments. In-depth knowledge of cloud architecture, including IAM, identity federation, cryptography, network segmentation, and high-assurance gateways. Proven ability to lead enterprise design across all domains, including Data, Digital, Security, and Technical areas. Proficiency in Secure by Design principles and IT security documentation, including policies, standards, processes, procedures, and patterns. Demonstrable knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and standards, including the NCSC Cyber Assessment Framework, ISO 27001, NIST, COBIT, as well as SABSA and TOGAF.
