Principal Process Engineer Contract Location: West Wales This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading engineering business during a period of continued growth as they support the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical and Renewable Energy sectors. Our client requires a minimum of 3 days per week to be based in their offices in West Wales . This role is deemed outside IR35. Role & Responsibilities Responsible for developing f easibility studies and FEED deliverables for downstream projects. Develop the scope of work / basis of design for studies and projects. Development and checking of process calculations. Preparation and checking of process deliverables PFDs, P&IDs, datasheets, specifications, process descriptions, philosophies and narratives. Supporting safety related calculations reviews What If, Hazop SIL Assessment, etc. Utilise process simulation software as required for the development of process deliverables. Attend in-house and site-based meetings / reviews with clients. Undertake short and long-term business travel in support of studies, projects and consultancy. Key Skills & Knowledge Degree in Chemical Engineering essential, chartered status desired but not essential. Must have experience developing f easibility studies and FEED deliverables for downstream projects. Previously worked on design projects in the Oil & Gas, Petrochem, or Renewable Energy industries. Experience in relevant design standards and protocols. Previous site experience in conjunction with a design background beneficial. Benefits This role is deemed outside IR35.
