Job Purpose: TEXO Recruitment is currently seeking a skilled Mechanical / Engine Technician to carry out service and repair work on mobile plant equipment at the Port in Teesside. Key Responsibilities: Conduct planned maintenance on main and auxiliary engines, including oil and fluid changes, filter replacements, and inspections of cooling and fuel systems. Perform diagnostics, servicing, and maintenance using specialist diagnostic tools. Strip down, inspect, and rebuild hydraulic, diesel, and hybrid engine components (e.g., injectors, turbochargers, cylinder heads). Maintain and repair propulsion drives, hydraulic motors, steering gear, and marine gearboxes. Service deck equipment such as electric winches, fuel pumps, firefighting gear, and bilge systems.
