Engineering Plant Operative (Mechanical) Role Description The Water Supply Function operates and maintains raw water sources and associated water treatment works across Northern Ireland. The Function is responsible for producing treated water to agreed standards for distribution to customers. The purpose of the job is to operate and maintain Glenhordial, Lough Fea & Lough Macrory Water Treatment Works together with related raw water resources. Scientific Officer (Clean Water Chemistry) Role Description The Laboratory is responsible for the collection and analysis of water, wastewater, trade effluent, sludge and soils. The work covers a wide range of determinants and includes trace metals, organics, general pollution indicators nutrients and microbiology. Both NI Water laboratories hold accreditation to ISO 17025 standard and the Clean Water Chemistry Laboratory additionally is accredited to the Drinking Water Testing Specification (DWTS).
