Person specification Qualifications NMC Registered Nurse Advanced Diploma/Degree in Adult Health Nursing Studies Post registration courses related to the speciality Experience Experience of caring for patients with acute and long term conditions Demonstrate clinical experience Previous Gastroenterology experience Experience of end of life care Demonstrate ability with vital signs monitoring equipment and ability to recognise the deteriorating patient Experience in complying with nursing, infection control and risk management polices Ability to manage caseload/bay of patients Experience of clinical skills such as: ECG recording, CVC, Cannulation and Venepuncture, Male catheterisation Awareness of audit Administration of blood products or willingness to undertake necessary training Specific skills relevant to specialty eg.
