Location: Chard, Somerset Pay Rate: £18.00 - £20.00 per hour, weekly pay Contract: Full time Permanent Shifts Available Mon - Fri (5-day) 08:00 - 17:00 Mon - Fri (5-day) 06:00 - 14:00 Mon - Thu (4-day) 07:00 - 17:15 Mon - Thu (4-day) 07:45 - 18:00 Key Duties Operate, programme & set CNC machinery (milling, turning or sliding head) to produce high-quality, high-tolerance components. Set up and run machines as required Conduct self-inspections of produced parts to ensure they meet specified tolerances. Perform routine machine maintenance and make minor adjustments to keep production running smoothly. Follow work instructions, safety guidelines, and production schedules. Role Allocation 2 X CNC Turning (Mazak preferable) 1 X CNC Turning (Fanuc preferable) 1 X CNC Sliding Head (Citizen machine experience preferable) Proven experience as a CNC machine operator within a precision engineering environment. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and measuring equipment. Confidence in self-checking and adjusting machine settings with minimal supervision. Experience in setting machines is highly advantageous. Strong attention to detail and quality.
