CLIENT My client are a private practice that was established in 1966, and provide traditional building surveying services to a broad client base including developers, private property companies, local authorities and housing associations, the NHS and schools. Their team of surveyors and secretaries is around 12 in number. At present they have a strong work load and this and their team numbers have been consistent despite difficulties in the construction industry in previous years. ROLE They are looking for a Chartered Building Surveyor (MRICS) to carry out Specifications of Work, Surveys for Defect Analysis, Contract Administration, Dilapidations and Party Wall work. This is a diverse area of experience, so we are not expecting them to be an expert in all areas. However, experience of specification, tendering and contract administration for repair, maintenance, extensions and alterations is essential. CANDIDATE The ideal candidate would have to have relevant experience in the fields I mentioned previously and be confident communicating with clients and contractors alike, well organised with an ability to manage their own workload and take a pro-active approach to the projects they manage through to completion. Much of their work is repeat business so we need someone who understands the importance of providing a good service to our clients. Most of their work is centred around London and the South East but on occasion we do have projects further afield. They are based in Sutton.
