Tradewind Recruitment
Science Teacher
Tradewind Recruitment
Tradewind are working with a simply wonderful partnership school in North Yorkshire, who are looking for a science teacher to work for the next month, but potentially to work up until Easter. This role is to start ASAP. All planning and marking associated with a teaching role are expected for this position, so the successful candidate can expect to be paid to scale (up to MPS6). In real terms, this results in payment of between £130.00 and £189.53 per day. This is a full time position, and is covering a staff illness. The school is a wonderful school, situated near Thirsk, and has a fantastic reputation. Catering to students between the ages of 11-16, it is relatively small, meaning the successful candidate will become part of a close team of teaching and support staff. Having worked with the school in the past, I can say how welcoming of external, temporary staff members they are, and how hard they work to integrate new staff members into the department, and into the wider school. The successful candidate will be teaching mainly Physics to GCSE students, but will be covering all disciplines of science to GCSE level, so a practitioner with a strong subject knowledge across GCSE science is imperative for this position. As there are still key worker students onsite, the schools preference is for a practitioner that can be onsite with the students, delivering online learning to those at home. However, there is room for negotiation on a strictly online learning arrangement. The role: Delivering GCSE Physics Delivering GCSE Biology and Chemistry Providing online lessons to students who are learning remotely Essential requirements: Qualified Teacher Status All work with Tradewind requires a DBS on the update service, and collection of at least two verified references. An up to date CV with a 10 year career history Legal Right to work in the UK Click 'Apply Now' to be considered for this great position as a |Science Teacher in North Yorkshire.
