What you'll be doing As a Café Manager, you will lead a passionate team of staff and volunteers delivering outstanding customer service to staff, visitors and patients at our wonderful café in Amersham Hospital. From providing your team with quality training and managing rotas, to getting stuck in overseeing stock management and displays, this varied role will see you at the heart of the service operation ensuring staff and customers are happy and high standards are met. In this busy role, you will also be responsible for: - Recruiting staff and volunteers, creating a OneTeam approach - Providing excellent inductions, training and support to team members - Creating a positive team environment and a focus on selling and delivering outstanding customer service - Devising and managing rotas, utilising resources in the most appropriate way - Ensuring volunteers receive a consistently positive experience - Overseeing stock management, pricing and displays - Making sure the premises complies with H&S, food safety procedures and Royal Voluntary Service standards What you will need To be considered as a Café Manager, you will need: - Experience at management level within a similar hospitality environment and comparable turnover - Excellent customer service skills - Proven leadership and people management and/or motivational skills - Knowledge of EPOS systems - Knowledge and experience of general administrative processes - The ability to use standard IT systems such as Microsoft Office, email and the internet to a basic level - Good literacy and numeracy skills A full driving licence would be desirable.
