Senior Quantity Surveyor We are looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team based at Devonport Dockyard, Plymouth Location: Devonport Dockyard, Plymouth Business Area: Natural Resources, Nuclear and Networks - Major Projects Contract: Full Time, Permanent Responsibilities As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be working within the Major Projects team supporting us at Devonport Royal Dockyard, Plymouth, where we are the preferred contractor to carry out a large complex building and heavy civil engineering construction in and around the Royal Navy dockyard. Due to the site being a High Security Royal Navy base, additional security checks - BPSS/SC level of security clearance is required. These checks can take up to 8 weeks to process. Only candidates holding EU & NATO member passports can be considered for this role. Your day to day will include: Take full commercial responsibility for large and complex subcontract packages for the buildings under construction, from tender to final account. Commercial management of subcontractors including processing payments, obtaining final account agreements, and resolving disputed issues by negotiation, if appropriate - monitoring of such accounts against cost and programme forecasts. Ensure the timely preparation of reliable monthly cost / value reports for work packages, together with review of results and consideration of trends with project team members. Ensure cash flow is optimised including ensuring payments are received and made on time, responsible for the timely production of appropriate levels of applications for payments in accordance with the provisions of the conditions of contract. Management of change and risk processes within works packages and supporting the wider project commercial team with appropriate contract notices. Assist in the production of monthly / quarterly reports. Provide commercial input including financial and contractual performance forecasts to the management team. Help ensure that business targets and project KPI's are exceeded. What we are looking for? Have working knowledge and experience of ECC NEC4 contracts. You have confident IT skills, proficient in the use of MS Office in particular Excel.
