Since 2014, Acast has been creating the world's most valuable podcast marketplace, building the technology which connects podcast creators, advertisers and listeners. Its marketplace spans more than 125,000 podcasts, 2,700 advertisers and c.1 billion quarterly listens. Crucially, those listens are monetized wherever they happen - across any podcasting app or other listening platform. The company operates worldwide and is headquartered in Stockholm, Sweden. Acast is listed on the Nasdaq First North Premier Growth Market. About the role We are looking for a Software Engineer that has a strong focus on backend development and creating the infrastructure to support it. You will work in an autonomous, purpose driven team and take an important role in shipping new features while continuously increasing efficiency, stability and scalability of the systems. You are expected to contribute with backend development within your team but we also encourage everyone to understand and contribute to other parts of the stack. You will be working in a multi-disciplinary environment with agile principles. We run our infrastructure and systems on AWS. The systems are written in Node.js and Typescript and you are expected to work with and be interested in that. There will be a big focus on using AWS infrastructure to deliver the functionality of the audio delivery platform team. Further as an AWS expert we would expect the person filling this role to help other teams be more efficient in their use of AWS infrastructure. Who you are You are interested in learning or have experience with Node.js/Typescript. You have experience in building cloud native infrastructure on AWS. You have extensive experience delivering solutions on AWS infrastructure. You can join in conversations immediately about our current use of AWS and in the short term help identify improvements and efficiencies. You have a pragmatic mindset and can make trade-offs on what to optimise for and when to ship. You are keen to mentor others in the technical aspects you are already an expert in and you value working in a diverse team with developers of all experience and backgrounds. You value other people's input no matter their experience level. Where you will be Most of our teams are hybrids with some members co-located in offices and some working remote. With a remote first way of working we want you to feel productive regardless of work location! Where? For this role, it can be anywhere within the UK (we have an office in east of London). Working hours? We want to avoid teams distributed over time-zones, so this team will operate within the CET time zone for collaboration. This setup allows us for more flexibility and work-life balance. Good to know For this you must be located within the UK. You can work 100% remotely of course, but within the country. Acast is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, ethnicity, national origin or any of the other wonderful characteristics that make us different. Culture is our number one priority as a business. We believe people come first, and we work every day to enable autonomy, continuous improvement and bring out the best in people. We're global and have remote teams, so it's even more important that we strive for an open, inclusive and caring environment where everyone feels visible and welcome. We consider ourselves a modern organization driven by strong values to create the best, most fulfilling and nurturing culture. We very much look forward to finding the next great person to join our cause!

Working alongside experienced senior engineers, you'll bring a data engineering mindset to the team, building sophisticated systems that parallel orchestration tools like Airflow or Temporal. Rather than creating individual pipelines, you'll develop the frameworks and tools that allow users to create their own pipelines efficiently, while advocating for data engineering best practices across the team. As a key member of our engineering team, you'll shape the future of our platform's data capabilities during a crucial growth phase. Success in this role means creating robust, user-friendly systems that democratize data engineering, allowing our clients to build and maintain sophisticated data pipelines without requiring deep technical expertise. What would set you up for success coming into this role: You have a minimum of seven years experience working in Software Engineering, with at least three of these in Python. You've got two years' experience working with Spark, preferably PySpark. You've had the opportunity to work on Cloud Infrastructure, whether it be AWS, Azure or GCP. You've had the opportunity to and enjoyed being part of a fast-paced and growing Software Engineering company. You're not fazed by the prospect of working autonomously. It would be a real bonus, but not a requirement if: You've worked in a start-up environment. You've got DBT experience. You've familiarity with MLOps principles and practices and their application in a production setting. Interview Process: You'll have a 20-minute conversation with one of our internal recruiters to get you excited about the opportunity. You'll then have the opportunity to discuss a personal project with the team. If you don't feel like there's anything suitable, we're more than happy to send a take-home assignment. You'll then have a 60-minute technical interview. The first half will be a short live-coding exercise. The second will focus more on technical questions. Lastly, you'll have a 45-minute chat with a couple of our team to understand more about the teams you've worked in previously and of course there'll be plenty of time to ask questions. Why Monolith? Our culture is passionate, engaging and collaborative. We are genuine, we bring our true selves to work and celebrate those little quirks that make us different. We have a culture of learning, we encourage new ideas, out of the box thinkers and risk takers. We're all human and sometimes we make mistakes, but we brush ourselves off and try again. Our culture encourages freedom, flexibility and creativity. At Monolith our values are core to how we do business. They're not just words on a wall, we live them every day. Our values are embedded in our internal processes so that we're always reminded of what's important to us and we continue to grow as individuals and as a company. Our values are: Bring yourself to work Always be curious and open Think like an engineer Work smart, not hard Be in this together Our benefits & perks for UK employees: 30 days paid annual leave + bank holidays Pension with NEST Vitality health insurance Wellness allowance through Heka A day off to volunteer per year Regular socials A few things to note: Monolith is proud to be an equal opportunity employer and we value diversity and inclusion. About Farewill All of us are going to die. It's a fundamental, tragic part of what it is to be human. But the services that should be supporting us haven't changed in decades. From writing your will to planning a funeral, the way we deal with death is formal, complicated and expensive. Instead of feeling supported, people feel lost. But it doesn't need to be this way. We started Farewill to make the experience warmer, brighter and friendlier. We're the UK's biggest will writer and one of the leading funeral companies in the country. Our generous customers have pledged over £1.03 billion to charities, through donations left in their wills. We're backed by top investors who are as excited by our mission as we are, and we've won awards for the work we've done. But there's a lot more to do. The role This role is all about building. We're in the privileged position to help people at some of the hardest times in their lives, and we're passionate about doing the best job possible. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a lean, dedicated, high performing team as a senior engineer, working to inform strategy, build and iterate on a top class product, and make a real difference to our customers. Not for the faint hearted! We work hybrid, with at least two coordinated onsite days each week in our East London office! You'll report into Michael Hefferan (VP Engineering) and work closely with the engineering team. About you Engineers at Farewill come from a wide and varied set of backgrounds; we do not ask for formal qualifications or degree requirements for any of our engineering roles. There are three key attributes we're looking for: An enthusiast You love building great products, putting them in peoples' hands, and overcoming all of the obstacles along the way. A technical expert You have a depth of expertise in web based technologies, having built and maintained several production-quality solutions, and are in your element architecting and writing code for both the frontend and backend. You are able to leverage your experience to solve complex problems quickly and to identify solutions to ambiguous requirements. You enjoy learning, mentoring others, and sharing what you learn with the wider engineering team. A great communicator We work in multi-disciplinary teams to deliver amazing results. Teamwork is essential and great communication is a huge part of that. You're someone who can communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical people in a way that enables them to understand the trade offs. Our Operating Model & Culture In Product-Engineering, we hire people we trust, and then trust them to make their own choices on how they want to work, and how they want to reach a goal. This sounds simple but it requires a lot of investment in the right company culture. Our team is made up of autonomous squads who decide what they work on, how they work and within them have all the skills they need to complete their mission. That means we have no centralised teams (Ops, QA etc). We think that we are doing a good thing for hotels and guests and believe in our mission! We are working on a highly scaled platform that hotels use to build direct relationships with their customers and cut out middlemen. In terms of scale, our software operates on around 10k hotels and collects 30M guest events a day, and growing. That's a big opportunity to positively impact a lot of people. And we could all use a bit of travel in our lives right now! We engage with our customers to validate assumptions and test new features. We like to go crazy deep on the problem. 'Start with the problem' is one of our three core principles, and beyond tools like FullStory, Intercom and Analytics that help us learn about users, each squad has friends in CS and Sales and even hoteliers themselves to help build that knowledge. Pandemic permitting, hotel visits and travel research budgets are also a big plus. We care deeply about diversity and inclusion. Within Prod-Eng we have a dedicated D&I squad who meet regularly to work on and propose actions to improve D&I within the team and wider biz. Outside of hiring activities, we work hard to foster an environment of psychological safety. We truly value collaboration and are invested in maintaining a team that encourages everyone to contribute. We optimise for learning. We regularly provide each other with feedback and reflect on the ways we work. We use Notion to bring efficient transparency and create a home for everything we do. We have initiatives like 'Discovery Days', 'Field Trips' and 'Coding Dojos' to bring new people together and create more learning and development opportunities. We celebrate our progress. At the end of each week, we join the rest of the company to showcase what we've accomplished and share our pride in the work we have done with our colleagues. - Triptease is proud to be an equal opportunity employer with an active cross-functional 'diversity squad' devoted to addressing diversity challenges in the company and industry. We welcome applications from diverse and non-traditional backgrounds. Applicants will not be discriminated against on the basis of any protected characteristic(s) in terms of the Equality Act (2010).
