Description As a Site Manager, you will manage the Operational Teams in the successful delivery of the ENW Excavate and Lay contract in the North West. The Site Manager will provide supervision to those teams under their jurisdiction, from project handover through to project completion in an effective and efficient manner. Success will be measured against our 3 imperatives: HSEQ performance, programme delivery and outstanding customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities We are looking for someone to: Supervise the delivery teams during the works including site set up, excavation, backfill and reinstatement and site completion. Attend all sites to disseminate the Construction Phase Plan information, including all RAMS, with regards setting up of the site and to brief the team leader on their responsibilities to ensure that the works carried out on the Network comply with the relevant statutory requirements (CDM) and ENW standards and procedures. Supervise the opening and closing of street works permits in accordance with NRSWA including the management of agreed Traffic Management and Permit Conditions. Ensure that all the client and operational requirements are met in a professional and efficient manner. Complete and record daily measures of works complete to submit for weekly payments. Carry out tool box talks to all site personnel and record. Liaison with Traffic Management department and local authorities to pre plan works to minimise disruption. Provide a positive and innovative input into the team, through provision of solutions to problems and embracing change. Promote the BE:SAFE culture and ensure that any safety issues are reported in line with company procedures. CSCS Labourer Location: North Lincolnshire Rate of Pay: 120 a day Start date : ASAP Duration required: 7 Months Driving License with Vehicle - Mandatory - Job Description: The Surfacing Operative will support the delivery of highways, footpaths, and hard-landscaping surfacing works. This role involves preparing work areas, assisting with the laying of tarmac and other surface materials, operating small tools and plant, and ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. Key Responsibilities Assist surfacing gangs with the preparation and laying of tarmac, asphalt, concrete, or block paving Set up working areas, including barriers, signage, and traffic management where required Carry out groundwork activities such as digging, levelling, compaction, and basic reinstatement Operate small plant and hand tools (wacker plates, breakers, saws, compactors) Load, unload, and move materials safely around site Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment Follow instructions from the Site Supervisor or Surfacing Foreman Adhere to all health and safety procedures, ensuring safe working practices at all times Support the team in achieving daily production targets Essential Skills & Experience Previous experience in surfacing, highways, or civil engineering groundwork Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding outdoor environment Competent in the use of hand tools and small plant Understanding of safe working practices and risk assessments Good communication and teamwork skills

General Operative - Drainage Works We are recruiting General Operatives to support drainage works on two major infrastructure schemes. Works are programmed to commence from w/c 8 June 2026 , with increased labour requirements through late July 2026. Role Overview You will be working as part of an experienced drainage gang on large-scale highways projects, supporting pipelayers, plant operators and supervisors to deliver works safely, efficiently and to specification. Typical Gang Structure 1 x Grey Hat Supervisor (FLS / Foreman) 1 x Experienced Pipelayer (Confined Spaces trained) 2 x Excavator Operators (20-30T tracked machines) 1 x General Operative (your role) Scope of Works Assisting with installation of carrier and filter drainage General groundworks and drainage support duties Slinging, spotting plant, and pipe handling Trimming, backfilling and reinstatement works Majority of works less than 2.0m depth , with some drainage up to 3.0m Working in a highways / infrastructure environment Requirements Previous experience as a General Operative on civils or drainage projects CSCS card (essential) Good understanding of site health & safety Physically fit and able to work outdoors in all conditions Confident working around plant and excavations Ability to work effectively as part of a drainage gang Locations: Based in Ipswich - accommodation will be provided for those not local to the area.
