Responsibilities The Senior Infrastructure Engineer will play a critical part in supporting (run) and developing (change) Ofgem Azure Landing Zone to support new services and the migration of existing service to the Cloud. Working in a team of infrastructure specialists and engineers, the senior infrastructure engineer builds, administers, supports and maintains solutions as directed and according to departmental policy. At this level, you will: ensure services are integrated, delivered and operated as required work with and support third parties in providing infrastructure services work with technical architects to translate architectural designs into operations work with our Security Engineers in the design, development and enablement of automated monitoring processes, supporting the implementation of (Security Information and Event Management) and network analysis tools, techniques and procedures to ensure stability, reliability and security Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, and Infrastructure as Code to automate the deployment of resource stacks and associated configuration for the DevOps community in Ofgem Establishing and implement monitoring and management infrastructure for both availability and performance management The use of active Azure services to meet Ofgems technology and resiliency requirements Behaviours We'll assess you against these behaviours during the selection process: Changing and Improving Making Effective Decisions Delivering at Pace Technical skills We'll assess you against these technical skills during the selection process: Please see Candidate Pack/Role Profile for further details.
