The role will be initially on a 1 term basis, but returning in September is highly likely should a strong and successful rapport be built with the pupil and parents. The school is based in Kennington which is well connected by local buses as well as the London Underground. The school is a short walk away from the station but there is parking on site for applicants who, given the current climate, would prefer to drive. This SEN TA role will include working on a 1-1 basis with a Year 4 pupil with ASD. The child is very able, and requires little academic support however does need assistance to remain engaged and on task. Behaviour can be an issue so previous experience with calming techniques and supporting students with ASD would be preferred.
