Aid Box Community (ABC) is a Bristol charity that provides hope, love and a sense of belonging to people seeking asylum in Bristol. Consultant Ophthalmologist - Paediatrics, Strabismus and Cataract Moorfields Eye Hospital NHS Foundation Trust The post is comprised of 8.5 programmed activities (PAs), of which 6.5 provide direct clinical care (DCC) and 2 are for supporting professional activities (SPAs). The post is split between the Cataract and Paediatrics services at City Road and Northwick Park. The sessions include outpatient and surgical lists at City Road and Northwick Park sites. The detailed job plan is included below, but it is subject to change in line with service demand. The post holder will also be responsible for the delivery of retinopathy of prematurity (ROP) screening at Northwick Park Hospital, delivery across 50 weeks of the year shared with one other colleague. There is also weekly service teaching which takes place at City Road. The post involves participation in the joint MEH/GOSH Paediatric on-call rota. Main Duties of the Job Provide High Quality Care to Patients: The post holder must be medically qualified and maintain GMC specialist registration and hold a licence to practice.
