We have various regular work available across Cumbria on a full time basis (Monday to Friday) on supply. There are opportunities for longer term work as well as day to day. The successful candidate will have relevant experience, gained through their work in a Primary and/or Secondary setting and hold an appropriate TA level 2/3 qualification . Candidates should hold appropriate academic qualifications to at least GCSE standard and have Maths and English grades as grade C or above A successful TA in this role will have good inter-personal skills, be able to operate as a member of a busy team and be able to seek and accept guidance and support. Candidates will be required to deal with students with behavioural difficulties, so previous experience of students with behavioural difficulties in a similar environment and the ability to apply appropriate strategies successfully with a patient, calm manner is essential. You should have sound knowledge of child development and an understanding of the different ways children learn, also the strategies that can be used to adapt teaching and engage learners. Candidates should also have good verbal and written communication skills, as well as ICT skills to access and use the support resources and tools with the children and young people.
