There's nothing quite like industry regulation, when it comes to enforcing change. Some businesses resist for as long as possible. Others embrace it. They invest, often heavily, and work hard to innovate. To lead. In our world, the phase-down of man-made, powerful greenhouse gases, feels like a pretty important reason to embrace change. The truth is we all rely on refrigerants. They keep the gym cool as our feet pound the treadmill. Pump cold air into our car on a hot summer day. Chill our drinks whilst we fire up the BBQ. Whether we like it or not, they're not going away any time soon. So, investing in a fleet of technology, to help our industry combat global warming and climate change, feels like something we can all get behind. The question is, can you? What you'll love about working in the Engineering Design team at A-Gas Europe Our backers want us to build more equipment. Upgrading and improving engineering across our European sites is a priority. They've made a multi-million-pound CAPEX investment to help achieve this. You're going to work on the design and commissioning of our next generation waste gas separation technology. We've already commissioned new separators in the UK and Netherlands during the last 3 years. We've other sites around the world. Your impact might be global. You'll be working on many other projects which are gearing us up for growth. Things like building portable waste gas processing equipment, developing new processes for fixed processing plant and building and rolling out an EU-wide SCADA system. You'll play a key role across the entire project lifecycle. From technical kick-off, conceptual and detailed design through to build and commissioning. We won't restrict your development. You'll help us move towards a set of standardised internal processes. Our informal working style is one of our strengths. Holding onto this, whilst bringing some degree of standardisation to our methods, will challenge us all. You'll act as a true specialist. Building the knowledge within our multi-disciplinary team is key. You'll relish this opportunity. You'll get to do a little travel. Maybe 25% of your time. Nothing over the top, but enough to keep things interesting. What you'll get in return We offer a competitive starting salary and pension scheme. Help us achieve company goals and you'll enjoy a bonus. We value further education and encourage our team to add to their skills. You'll get the opportunity to apply for study support if you want it. We'll invite you to annual events during the summer and at Christmas, as well as on-site socials. You'll get a paid day off to support a community project or charity of your choice. You'll open a door to wider career opportunities in the UK, Netherlands and Germany. You'll be joining a business, recognised for two consecutive years running as Employer of the Year at the Business Leader Awards. Who you are You've already got some broad practical electrical engineering experience. You might not be an expert in all areas. But if you've a strength in PLC programming, low voltage controls design or even broad computer programming experience (APIs, DLLs, Web development), then you'll have a solid base to start from. You've managed chunks of electrical projects. You have a good appreciation of what it takes to drive a project from concept stage, through to commissioning. Managing contractors to get projects completed is part of your skillset. Ideally your knowledge will cover European legislative basics associated with engineering in controlled explosive atmospheres. You might have some experience with ATEX for example. If you've any experience with US legislation, that could be really useful. Equally if you've worked with or designed systems with Functional Safety in mind, you're going to get up to speed a lot quicker. You enjoy sharing your experience. You find time to coach less-experienced colleagues. It satisfies you when you see their confidence grow. And who are we .? We're the European region of A-Gas, a global gases business with significant private equity backing. We have a market leading position. Our aim is to be the dominant player in reclamation refrigerants. We have ambition to grow our waste gas reclamation services across Continental Europe. Which means huge opportunity for the people in our business. People like you. What are you waiting for? Apply today and let's start talking about where you want to take your career. A relevant electrical apprenticeship or HNC/HND level/engineering degree PLC and HMI programming and fault finding experience Understanding of electrical control schematics, ideally for pump control Computer literate with cad packages, Word and Excel Experience of electrical installation and maintenance Commissioning of industrial plant and machinery Self motivator with initiative Available to travel (within Europe)

Wouldn't you like to work for a company who can offer you job security as well as a progressive career? Wheeler's are expanding into the Fire Protection sector and so we are looking for Engineers to come and join us. Other fire companies may be looking for a Fire Alarm Systems Engineer, they could be advertising for a Fire Install Engineer or even a Fire Installation and Maintenance Engineer, we are just looking for some top Engineers who know their customer service and can extinguish faults in super quick time! (See what we did there?) This is a Senior role within the company and so we are not only offering job security, a pension, progression but also a salary of up to £32,000 with overtime and on-call duties with enhanced overtime rates. We also work in collaboration with our Engineers to try and accommodate your preferences in how your daily schedule is planned as much as possible, we know how important work/life balance is and we want our staff to feel they have control over what time they get home for dinner! We do this whilst balancing the needs of the business and making sure we keep our customers happy too. Your days will be spent doing the usual duties of providing both routine and reactive servicing, as well as the programming and commissioning of new Fire Detection and Alarm Systems and Remote Monitoring Systems. Working across all our business sectors, you'll be able to mentor our more junior members of the team, sharing your extensive knowledge and helping them to achieve their goals within the business. You'll be providing support to our customers and to the wider company with sales, admin and operations when required. So what skills will you need? We need you to have a minimum of a City and Guilds 1 or 2 in Electrical Engineering and, as we all know, if you mess with fire you get burned so ideally you'll have a strong background in this or a very similar sector and be looking to progress into a more supervisory role. If you have experience working with systems such as Electronics, HAES, Kentec, Gent, Hochiki, Apollo, Vesda and Airsense, that will definitely put you in the top spot, however, training can be provided and so you need to be keen to learn. Most importantly, you always put the customer first, you're a real "roll your sleeves up" kind of person and willing to go that extra mile when needed. You're confident in identifying and suggesting the appropriate course of action to resolve problems and know how important it is to ensure that all works are completed and/or rescheduled if necessary. You'll also need a full UK driving licence, as getting around would be tricky without one! Established in 1982 and with over 35 years of experience, Wheeler's has built an unrivalled reputation for delivering a professional, reliable and friendly service to property owners and large commercial clients across Wiltshire and the surrounding counties. STRICTLY NO RECRUITMENT AGENCIES PLEASE
