We have an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Plumber Technician to join our Estates team. This role is a based in our Main Hospital site in Central London (W1G 6BW). We are also offering a competitive salary of £39,580 per annum plus a fantastic array of benefits.

Job Profile

We are looking for an experienced Commercial Mechanical / Plumber with previous installation experience but is also capable of carrying out maintenance tasks. Most work will have been carried out in either industrial or commercial environment.

This is a full-time position with a great rate of pay. Candidates must have had at least 4 years, post qualified experience in the field of plumbing/heating reactive maintenance. We take great pride in our client base and therefore looking for someone who works well within a team has a professional manner and is capable of communicating clearly. The Maintenance Mechanical / Plumber will join a team of established technical and fabric staff, which covers maintenance services across the estate covering a 4 on 4 off shift pattern.

  • Job Type: This is a full-time, permanent position.
  • Shift Pattern: 4 on - 4 off, 7am to 7pm.

Key Duties

  • To work in accordance with the requirements of the Mechanical HTMs for water systems, statutory regulations, legionella regulations and Clinic policies.
  • To ensure that all work is carried out in a safe manner following the appropriate risk assessment at all times.
  • Undertake essential repair works and general maintenance activities at the request of the management.
  • Undertake helpdesk repair works as directed by the shift leaders.
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance inspections in accordance with Clinic procedures.

Skills & Experience

  • Completion of a structured training program in mechanical engineering for a minimum of three years.
  • Post qualification experience working in a mechanical maintenance environment.
  • Experience of working in an acute hospital or similar complex environment is desirable.
  • City and Guilds Level 3 (Commercial Plumbing/Heating) or equivalent experience (Essential)
