Are you looking to gain more SEND experience supporting Primary aged pupils within a SEND school or work in small SEND classes within a mainstream primary school setting ?

Do you have Primary SEND experience or experience working with children in primary mainstream schools?

Have you worked with Primary aged SEND pupils in a residential or social care setting?

We are working in partnership with SEND schools and Primary mainstream schools within the borough of Salford and surrounding areas and are looking for passionate SEND Teaching Assistants who are available immediately to start long term positions.

You will be supporting SEND pupils with various needs including ASD or SEMH, with their learning and development in small classes, groups or on a 1-2-1 basis.

There is a range of long term posts available with immediate starts, however we can cater for those looking for day to day/adhoc work to compliment other commitments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Working with groups of children or working with pupils on a 1-2-1 basis
  • Working with children who have additional SEND needs
  • Supporting the class teacher across the whole class
  • Uphold a strong classroom presence whilst motivating and inspiring all pupils

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Previous and recent experience of working in a Primary or SEN School or any Education setting
  • Strong behaviour management with a flexible approach
  • Enthusiastic, creative and passionate delivery of the National Curriculum
  • Work independently and as part of a team
  • Hold a relevant teaching assistant or childcare qualification (Level 1, 2 or Level 3)
  • Have previous experience within the past last two years
  • Have eligibility to work in the UK or be a UK resident
