Key Responsibilities: Support the management of Inmarsat's DPI infrastructure at multiple sites Act as a Subject Matter Expert for Inmarsat's Sandvine Infrastructure Support Product team, CTO and Service Assurance teams to turn requirements into appropriate policies and or bespoke scripts Lead or support testing activities required to ensure that new policies can be deployed to the production network without unexpected effects Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues related to the DPI infrastructure Track issues through to resolution within agreed time limits Liaise with the manufacturer where appropriate to resolve problems Support the work of the core network team as directed by the team manage Qualifications Key Knowledge and Skills Experience in a technical role involving IP networks and DPI solutions Ideal candidate will have served as a developer in prior roles and have a deep understanding of modern, highly scalable architectures leveraging the latest technologies including NET/C#, Restful APIs, micro-services, cloud computing etc Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, IT or Software Engineering, Microsoft, Cisco, Linux or similar certification or a diploma from a technical institute Knowledge of Load Balancing, Firewalls and Virtualization Linux or Unix OS experience Good Understanding of IP networks (CCNP level knowledge) Hands-on experience with the installation, configuration, and/or operation of networking equipment such as Cisco, Juniper or other network hardware manufacturers would be an advantage Ability to investigate and resolve problems in a logical manner Ability to prioritise multiple tasks effectively Desirable Knowledge and Skills Programming and/or scripting in any language or knowledge of SQL databases Experience of virtualized routing technologies such as Juniper vMX or Cisco 5921 Previous experience of Sandvine technologies and Sandscript would be an asset Knowledge of Multicast, PIM, IGMPv2/v3, SNMP Additional Information You must be eligible to work in this location advertised. As an Engineering Team Leader you will: Lead an engineering shift team to create a high performing culture where team members are motivated, engaged, and supported to develop and achieve their potential. Plan and prioritise the shift workload for the engineering team to enable production targets to be achieved by maximising machinery up time Execute the planned preventative maintenance schedule to maximise machinery up time and minimise disruption to production targets Ensure all plant and equipment adhere to all relevant legislation and so that a safe working environment is maintained all times Ensure that the permit to work is in place and adhered to so that contractors and colleagues work safely at all times Ensure the shift engineering team adhere to good manufacturing practices (GMP) ensuring compliance with manufacturing unit food safety requirements Why Greencore?
