This is an award winning provision for students with SEND, including autism, complex needs and speech, language and communication difficulties. You will be working alongside a skilled multi-disciplinary team of dedicated teachers, support staff and therapists to ensure equal opportunities and the best possible learning outcomes for the students. As a speech and language teaching assistant, you will: • Create and prepare visual aids and materials for use in class and therapy sessions • Plan and run small group intervention and speech and language sessions • Work in collaboration with the class teachers and speech and language therapist • Be a positive role model to students and share good practice with less experienced staff members • Assist in the training and development programmes • Carry out student observations and record findings • Accompany the class on visits and school trips You will be provided with excellent in-house and external training and be offered the opportunity to gain further speech and language qualifications.
