The learning support assistant will have knowledge of the requirements of delivering education to students with SEND, with the ability to select appropriate resources to create a stimulating learning environment. The learning support assistant will work in partnership with the teacher with individual pupils and/or with small groups of pupils to assist in the process of, and to promote, teaching and learning. The LSA will cover groups in the absence of the teacher, supervise and provide support for pupils, including those with special needs, ensuring their safety and access to learning activities.
