Established for over 25 years my client specialises in high end residential contracts, together with building projects for our sister property development company in London. The role offers the opportunity to work on the full spectrum of projects from traditional to contemporary, refurbishment and new builds

About You

I am looking for an enthusiastic, pro active, commercially minded project manager to bring their experience of running multiple schemes to our team. You will have high end residential experience and a good eye for finishes, together with the ability to problem solve should the need arise.

The role:

Reporting to the Operations Director, you will be responsible for managing all site based activities to ensure that the contract is delivered on time, to the required standards and within budget, whilst maximising client satisfaction. You will be responsible for working with the Project Surveyor supplying all costs collated to variations on site in order that an accurate account is kept and they are included within valuations.

Working with the Site Manager and QS you will identify variations to the contract, make timely requests for Critical Path Information and adjust the programme as necessary agreeing such revisions with sub contractors, client etc. You will distribute the programme to all parties and intervene and agree action plans to recover delays where possible. You will also maintain a flow of information to the client so they are informed of any time and cost implications resulting from any changes.

Ensure all variations are identified and costed. In conjunction with the Project Surveyor, compile, submit valuations on time and negotiate agreement of the final contract account.

With the Project Surveyor you will compile procurement schedules and liaise with the Buyer re-site supply and specialist requirements, specifying deadlines.

With the Project Surveyor ensure enquiries and/or tender packages are sent to sub-contractors and suppliers so orders are placed in time to meet programme. Selecting sub-contractors, exercising due diligence to ensure they are suitable for the size of project and they have the resources available. You will monitor site practices and routines to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulations, including the company H & S Policy. Ensure training needs are identified and implemented arranging for personnel to attend such courses as are necessary. Carry out monthly site inspections.

Carry out such other duties are necessary for the satisfactory completion of contracts and the attainment of the goals of the business. Development experience would be an advantage.
