An excellent opportunity for an experienced CNC Machinist Programmer to join a well-established company! Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent. Salary: £35,000 - £52,000 Per Annum, Depending on Experience. Location: Fareham, Hampshire PO14. About The Company: They are looking for a time served CNC Machinist to operate their range of 3 and 5 axis Heidenhain controlled vertical machining centres. The ideal candidate will possess skills and experience in Programming, Setting and the Operation of CNC VMC's working in a range of materials. They will need to be able to program on and off-line, ideally with experience in Powermill CAM. About The Role: To meet exacting customer requirements. Ability to read and understand engineering drawings & specifications. Create, load, save and edit CNC programs using Heidenhain controls. Set up tooling and work piece datum's. Continually assess tool condition and maintain as necessary. Self-inspect own work. To maintain good housekeeping standards. To ensure safe working practices are maintained Candidate Requirements: Time Served Machinist. Ability to establish & develop relationships and be a good team player. Knowledge of mould tools would be an advantage. Good understanding of machining techniques. Skill in planning methods of machining. Competent in the set-up and operation of CNC Milling machines. Capable of programming both on and off machine controls. Able to work using own initiative. Well organised and dependable. Able to interpret engineering drawings and to self inspect critical features. Knowledge of CAM programming would be beneficial, ideally using Powermill. Experience in programming complex parts. Experience in Heidenhain programming essential Flexible Working Options Available: Flexi-time. 40-50 hours per week. Finish at 12 noon on Fridays. No weekend work. THE DUTIES OF A CNC MILLER: Programming, Setting and operating Milling machines Producing high precision work Reading engineering drawings Knowledge of Fanuc controls ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCES & SKILLS: Minimum 2 years' experience working within a high precision manufacturing background. Excellent communication skills THE HOURS: You will be working days: Mon Thurs: 8am 4.50pm Fri: 8am 2pm THE PAY: The rate of pay is £14 - £17 per hour depending on experience.
