Purpose of Role To lead, manage, and deliver construction activities on our clients site in Ipswich to be in compliance with TP137, CDM, and other regulatory requirements. The TP137 Site Manager will be responsible for site safety, quality, and programme delivery, ensuring all works meet standards and operational constraints. Role and responsibility As a TP137 Site Manager on National Grid projects, you will lead safe and compliant delivery of civil and electrical infrastructure works Ensuring all site activities follow TP137, CDM, and National Grid standards. You will manage subcontractors and site teams, coordinate resources, and maintain site records including RAMS, permits, and progress reports. Your focus will be on embedding a Zero Harm culture, driving quality, meeting programme milestones, and ensuring effective communication across all stakeholders. You will monitor site compliance, escalate risks or issues promptly, and contribute to project reviews and audits. Digital tools will be used to track progress and ensure data accuracy. You will lead by example, empowering your team to work safely and efficiently, while supporting commercial processes such as cost recovery and compensation events. Essential Requirements Proven experience managing National Grid projects under TP137 regulations Strong knowledge of TP137, CDM, and National Grid s Control of Works Experience working safely in live high-voltage or substation environments Leadership skills to manage teams and subcontractors effectively Competent in writing and reviewing RAMS, permits, and safety documentation Solid understanding of project scheduling, resource planning, and risk management CSCS Manager/Supervisor card TP137 Accreditation SSSTS/SMSTS certification Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Valid UK driving licence Company information At First Recruitment Group we understand just how important it is to secure the right people.
