What you will do Draft valid consents and assents for operations affecting protected sites. For all work areas produce required advice, investigations, documentation and reports to agreed quality standards to support operational and management decisions, protected site notification, public enquiries, court cases etc so that information, evidence and NRW interests are accurately and effectively presented. Within your area of expertise, provide professional local advice and responses to consultations from planning and permitting teams. Maintain working relationships with these teams through regular liaison. Monitor progress of work, which may include interpretation of data, contractor management, project delivery or compliance with management agreements or statutory legal notices. Identify and support any remedial actions to ensure outcome delivery. Work with a wide range of internal and external customers including permit holders, landowners, businesses, public bodies, recreation groups, volunteers and third sector organisations to enable others to achieve SMNR. Establish, maintain and advise partners to support the development of partnership projects and plans through from concepts to implementation. These projects will deliver outcomes aligned with place priorities. Assess compliance with relevant legislation, permit or consent conditions. Principal Accountabilities To lead and manage a team of fire safety advisors providing cover to an area of the site on a 24hr basis. Support the development of fire safety arrangements (both general and process related) and procedures that meet legislative requirements and follow best practice. To develop, maintain, and review the implementation of the Principal Contractors fire safety policy, fire management arrangements and fire risk assessments, in conjunction with the multitude of other contractors, as part of the process of ensuring legal compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements. Support key regulatory interventions and inspections, leading on fire safety matters. Provide the regulators with confidence in the adequacy of fire safety arrangements on site. We are currently offering a rewarding opportunity within our Carer Assessment Service, who are responsible for carrying out Statutory and Preventative Carer Assessments across West Sussex , and specifically to visit carers living in the Mid Sussex area. As a Carer Wellbeing Assessor, you will use your knowledge and/or experience of assessments, your working knowledge and/or lived experience of health and social care, and your excellent communication and interpersonal skills to to carry out Carer Assessments under the Care Act 2014. While work is countywide, a base in the Mid Sussex area is preferred, as much of the work and any occasional home visits will be concentrated in this part of the county. Key Responsibilities • Provide statutory and preventative assessments via face-to-face, online, and telephone channels for adults caring for a relative or friend who cannot manage without their help. • Accurately record all interventions on CSWS Client Record Management System and WSCC MOSAIC, ensuring decisions are evidenced and actions documented for timely reporting. • Use outcome-based tools to support carers in creating personal plans and demonstrate impact through Carer Star reviews, surveys, case studies, and feedback. • Work collaboratively with Health, Social Care, and Voluntary Sector partners, and liaise closely with Adult Social Care colleagues to promote the Carer Assessment Service. • Champion the principles of Think Carer across networks, proactively identifying carers through outreach, community engagement, and partnership working.
