My client has over 20 years of experience in the prototyping business, complete fabrications have a resource centre better than most. With an extensive in- house capability they can utilise the most advanced materials and processes as well as the traditional to achieve successful and confidential projects.

The Role

They are currently looking for a CNC Engineer to join their company, your main duties will be:

Tasks:

* Use computer programs, excel, outlook etc to organise systems
* De-burr and clean up components ready for dispatch
* Use standard measurement equipment to ensure produced components meet customer requirements
* Operate machines to safe working practise
* Adhere to safe work holding practises
* Use CAD/CAM/Solidworks
* Select appropriate tooling for speed and feeds
* Focus on dimensional accuracy and quality not solely on efficiency and speed
* Willingness to diversify beyond job description

Process:

* Set and programme CNC lathe And set, programme and operate parts from 3d models on mills
* Ensure that personal time management ensures machines are running as much as possible.
* Work to customer's drawings / 3D CAD files and tight tolerances and carry out relevant checks.
* Adhere to production schedules agreed.
* Discuss and plan when it may be necessary to work additional hours to ensure delivery schedules are maintained.
* Advise of time limits and of delays, if we are awaiting tooling / materials we will need to be notified if this will affect the delivery schedule.
* Additional finishes may need to be carried out on materials

General Maintenance:

* Complete daily/weekly/monthly maintenance and complete maintenance paperwork
* Ensure working area is maintained and kept tidy to adhere to health and safety procedures.
* Organise and maintain material system
* Spindle tooling management and maintenance

Job Requirements:

The Person

* Should have a minimum of 2 years' experience.
* Experience in any of these areas Delcam, Solidworks and 4 axis machining would be a definite advantage.
* A good understanding of both milling and lathe work, being able to programme, set and run a job.
* Good clean and organised working practices.
* A can do attitude is essential.
* A understanding that quality counts above all.
